Multicenter Retrospective Analysis of Intradiscal Condoliase Injection Therapy for Lumbar Disc Herniation.

Background and Objectives: Intradiscal injection of Condoliase (chondroitin sulfate ABC endolyase), a glycosaminoglycan-degrading enzyme, is employed as a minimally invasive treatment for lumbar disc herniation (LDH) and represents a promising option between conservative treatment and surgical intervention. Since its 2018 approval in Japan, multiple single-site trails have highlighted its effectiveness, however, the effect of LDH types, and influences of patient age, sex, etc., on treatment success remains unclear.

Real impact of liver cirrhosis on the development of hepatocellular carcinoma in various liver diseases-meta-analytic assessment.

Background: It is well known that the incidence of developing hepatocelluler carcinoma (HCC) is increased in liver cirrhosis of different etiologies. However, comparison of HCC incidence in various liver diseases has not yet been estimated. We surveyed this comparison.

[Clinical evaluation of rapid diagnostic kit detecting separately influenza A and B viruses].

The Directigen Flu A + B kit, a rapid diagnostic device for influenza virus A and B was evaluated. The nasopharyngeal aspirates were obtained from 239 patients who visited our hospital, between January and March, 2000, presenting flu-like symptoms. Influenza virus AH1: 77 and AH3: 51 were isolated from 128 specimens and none from 111 specimens.

[A case of renovascular hypertension with nephrotic syndrome, accompanied by focal segmental glomerulosclerosis-like lesion in the contralateral kidney].

A 66-year-old male patient of renovascular hypertension with nephrotic syndrome was described. Besides, focal segmental glomerulosclerosis like lesion was accompanied in the contralateral kidney. On admission, his blood-pressure amounted to 220/140 mmHg.

[Two case reports of hydronephroureterosis associated with complete double pelvis-ureter accompanied by pyuria and hematuria].

We report two cases of hydronephroureterosis of the upper moiety in the complete duplex kidney disclosed by urological examination for pyuria and hematuria. The first case was in a 64-year old female and the second case was in a 68-year old female. Urinary incontinence was not seen in either case.

[Treatment of prostatic incidental carcinoma].

Fourteen patients with incidentally diagnosed carcinoma of the prostate were reviewed. The frequency of the incidental prostatic carcinoma in our clinic was approximately 7.3% of 191 patients operated for benign prostatic hypertrophy.

[A case report of retrovesical tumor effectively responsive to chemotherapy].

A 42-year-old man was admitted because of huge retrovesical mass. The organ from which the tumor originated was unknown. The biopsy specimen showed poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma.

[Primary bladder adenocarcinoma in a young girl].

We describe a case of primary adenocarcinoma of the bladder in an 18-year-old girl. She had no recurrence five years after operation. A young case is very rare because primary bladder adenocarcinoma are found mostly in old patients.
