Importance: It is essential to identify inequitable cancer care for ethnic minority groups, which may allow policy change associated with improved survival and decreased mortality and morbidity.
Objective: To investigate ethnic disparities in survival and mortality among New Zealand (NZ) patients with head and neck cancer (HNC) and the association of other variables, including socioeconomic status, tumor stage, and age at diagnosis, with survival rates.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This retrospective cohort study was conducted among NZ patients diagnosed with specific HNCs from 2010 to 2020.
Introduction: Cholecystectomy for benign biliary disease is common and its delivery should be standardised. However, the current practice of cholecystectomy in Aotearoa New Zealand is unknown.
Methods: A prospective, national cohort study of consecutive patients having cholecystectomy for benign biliary disease was performed between August and October 2021 with 30-day follow-up, through STRATA, a student- and trainee-led collaborative.

We describe our change process and real-world outcome data.
Methods: Mixed-methods including stakeholder engagement, preimplementation and postimplementation surveys, and assessment of patient treatment rates, metrics, and clinical outcomes preimplementation and postimplementation adjusting regression analyses for age, sex, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale, premorbid modified Rankin Scale score, and thrombectomy using New Zealand National Stroke Registry data.

Medium cut-off membrane (MCO) dialysers have been shown to remove a range of middle molecules, which are associated with adverse outcomes in haemodialysis (HD) patients, more effectively than high-flux HD. Vancomycin is widely used in HD patients for treating a variety of infections. To avoid subtherapeutic trough concentrations, it is important to understand vancomycin clearance in patients undergoing HD with the MCO membrane.

There are few data on the epidemiology of HCV in American Indians/Alaska Natives (AI/ANs), a population disproportionately affected by HCV.
Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, all HCV-infected AI/AN patients treated with DAA therapies between January 1, 2014, and February 24, 2016, in specialty clinics or by primary care clinicians participating in Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes (ECHO) were included.

Background: Telestroke uses videoconferencing technology to allow off-site experts to provide stroke thrombolysis decision support to less experienced front line clinicians.
Aim: To assess the impact of a new telestroke service on thrombolysis rates and door-to-needle times in participating provincial hospitals and service resources to aid transition to a sustainable telestroke service.
Methods: This is a sequential comparison of 'pre' (December 2015 to May 2016) and 'post' (June 2016 to December 2016) implementation outcomes.
