Titanium (Ti) and its alloys are widely utilized in orthopedic and dental applications due to their favorable mechanical properties and biocompatibility. Notably, titanium exhibits excellent corrosion resistance and can form a stable oxide layer, ensuring the longevity and functionality of implants in challenging physiological environments. This study investigates the corrosion behavior of α-Ti alloy in physiological saline solutions, emphasizing the role of key biomolecules found in the human body, including albumin, glycine, and glucose, as well as additional substances such as hydrogen peroxide (HO) and hydroxyapatite (Hap).

This paper introduces a new advanced model for denoising and classification of ECG signals, focusing on the use of a hybrid filter and Bayesian optimization. The hybrid filter synergistically combines enhanced empirical mode decomposition (EEMD), Chebyshev Type II filters, Butterworth, Daubechies Wavelet, and Savitzky-Golay filters, leveraging their respective advantages for effective noise reduction while preserving the essential features of the ECG signal. We employ a multi-criteria Bayesian optimization process, using cross-correlation and mean squared error (MSE) as key metrics, to refine the filter parameters to further improve the signal quality.

Introduction: Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) are associated with clonal hematopoiesis, genomic instability, hemostasis dysregulation, and immune response. Classic BCR-ABL1 negative myeloproliferative neoplasms (BCR-ABL1 negative MPN), including polycythemia vera (PV), essential thrombocythemia (ET), and primary myelofibrosis (PMF), are frequently associated with somatic abnormalities in JAK2, CALR, and MPL. Mutant clones induce an inflammatory immune response leading to immuno-thrombosis.

A recent nonsyndromic phenotype, newly linked to mutations in the ZFYVE19 gene, is characterized by the appearance of cholestasis accompanied by an increase in serum gamma-glutamyltranspeptidase (GGT) from infancy or early childhood. Affected individuals generally present with hepatosplenomegaly and may develop portal hypertension. The disease is thought to be the result of cholangiocyte-specific ciliary dysfunction, indicating a ciliopathy that appears to be limited to the liver.

Background: Angiogenesis is a crucial process in the growth and proliferation of cancer, enabling tumor growth through the formation of new vasculature and the supply of nutrients and oxygen to growing malignant cells. This disease-promoting process can be targeted through the inhibition of tyrosine kinase enzymes.
Objectives: The objective of this study is to evaluate the anticancer potential of various Moroccan plants from different regions.

In this study, we investigated the influence of structural parameters, including active region dimensions, electric field intensity, In-composition, impurity position, and potential profiles, on the energy levels, sub-gap transitions, and photovoltaic characteristics of a p-GaN/i-(In, Ga)N/GaN-n (p-QW-n) structure. The finite element method (FEM) has been used to solve numerically the Schrödinger equation. We found that particle and sub-gap energy levels are susceptible to well width, electric field, and impurity position.

This paper presents an active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) approach for three-phase four-legs voltage source inverters (FL-VSIs) in a standalone renewable energy resources (RES)-based islanded microgrid. The key purpose of the proposed approach is to improve the control robustness against load-side disturbances, power supply parameters uncertainties, and faulty operating conditions. Indeed, a notable benefit of ADRC is its ability to operate effectively without the need for precise knowledge of disturbance characteristics or accurate modeling and FL-VSI parameters.

Platelets are considered one of the most important reservoirs not only of growth factors, but also of neurotrophic factors that could contribute to the repair of vascular lesions and the prevention of neurological deterioration. Among these factors, Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF) - a protein belonging to the neurotrophin family - is widely expressed both in the hippocampus and in platelets. Platelets constitute an important reservoir of BDNF; however, little is known about the factors modulating its release into the circulation and whether anti-platelet drugs affect this secretion.
