Tracheobronchial Foreign Body Aspiration: Spontaneous Expectoration After Beta-2 Agonist Administration.

Tracheobronchial foreign body (TFB) aspiration in adults is uncommon but can be life-threatening, often due to differences in airway sizes and reflexes. Symptoms associated with TFB are typically choking episodes followed by cough and dyspnea, but sometimes it can lead to acute asphyxiation. Chest radiography and computed tomography can provide information about the foreign body, its characteristics, and its location, however, bronchoscopy remains the preferred method for diagnosis and removal.

Rheumatoid Arthritis Associated With Anti-Signal Recognition Particle Immune-Mediated Necrotizing Myopathy: A Case Report.

Immune-mediated necrotizing myopathy (IMNM) is a rare subtype of idiopathic inflammatory myopathy that is characterized by severe subacute proximal weakness, myofiber necrosis, and significantly elevated serum creatine kinase. Anti-signal recognition particle (SRP) and anti-3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-coenzyme-A reductase autoantibodies have been found in about two-thirds of patients with IMNM. This myopathy is usually idiopathic and there is a scarce literature concerning its association with connective tissue diseases.

Occurrence and removal of intestinal parasites in two wastewater treatment plants in the south of Morocco.

Background: Agadir city plans to reuse treated wastewater on a large scale to irrigate these green spaces. This study aims to evaluate the risk of intestinal parasites, to which human and animal populations are exposed during the reuse of treated wastewaters.

Methods: Over 21 months, wastewater samples were collected in Bensergao and Mzar wastewater treatment plants, in Agadir city, southern Morocco.

Skeletal myopathy, as a manifestation in the context of multiple myeloma, is extremely uncommon and is usually the result of immunoglobulin light chain (AL) amyloidosis deposits in the muscles.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is the second most common neurodegenerative disorder after Alzheimer disease. Five to ten percent of patients have monogenic form of the disease, while most of sporadic PD cases are caused by the combination of genetic and environmental factors. Microtubule-associated protein tau (MAPT) has been appointed as one of the most important risk factors for several neurodegenerative diseases including PD.

Introduction: HIV and syphilis are major public health problems in Morocco. The region of Souss-Massa, south-west of the country, hold more than 24% of HIV seropositive cases registered in Morocco during 2009. The aim of this study is to evaluate the seroprevalence of syphilis among HIV seropositive patients in the region of Souss-Massa, south-west of Morocco.
