The present study aimed to evaluate the in vitro antibacterial and antioxidant activities and the in vivo wound healing performance of a polysaccharide isolated from Glycyrrhiza glabra named PSG. It was structurally characterized by Fourier transformed infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, which confirmed the presence of different polysaccharides functional bands. The antioxidant capacity of PSG was determined in vitro and evaluated in vivo through the examination of wound healing capacity.

Recent developments in information technology (IT) in health are extended to highly specialized services, an example is telemedicine technology, understood as the use of IT to enable the transfer of medical information for diagnostic purposes, therapeutic and educational. Despite the benefits of implementing such technology, healthcare professionals, as end users, do not fully utilize it. The Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), are among the models applied to assess and predict the acceptance and use of telemedicine.

Keratoconus is a noninflammatory disease characterized by thinning and bulging of the cornea, generally appearing during adolescence and slowly progressing, causing vision impairment. However, the detection of keratoconus remains difficult in the early stages of the disease because the patient does not feel any pain. Therefore, the development of a method for detecting this disease based on machine and deep learning methods is necessary for early detection in order to provide the appropriate treatment as early as possible to patients.

Chronic exposure to cannabinoids during adolescence results in long-lasting behavioral deficits that match some symptomatologic aspects of schizophrenia. The aim of this study was to investigate the reversibility of the emotional and the cognitive effects of chronic exposure to cannabinoids during adolescence, via subsequent modulation of the serotoninergic 5-HT4 and dopaminergic D3 receptors. RS67333 as a 5-HT4 agonist and U-99194A as a D3 antagonist were administered separately at 1 mg/kg and 20 mg/kg, and in combination at 0.
