Background: Despite the potential advantage of all-polyethylene tibial components, modular metal-backed component use predominates the market in the United States for total knee arthroplasty (TKA). This is partially driven by concerns about the associated revision risk due to the lack of modularity with all-polyethylene components. This study utilized the American Joint Replacement Registry to compare the associated risk of all-cause revision and revision for infection for all-polyethylene versus modular metal-backed tibial components.

Objective: Using the Manhattan Lupus Surveillance Program, a multiracial/ethnic population-based registry, we aimed to compare 3 commonly used classification criteria for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) to identify unique cases and determine the incidence and prevalence of SLE using the EULAR/American College of Rheumatology (ACR) criteria.
Methods: SLE cases were defined as fulfilling the 1997 ACR, the Systemic Lupus International Collaborating Clinics (SLICC), or the EULAR/ACR classification criteria. We quantified the number of cases uniquely associated with each and the number fulfilling all 3 criteria.

Background: Recent American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association Primary Prevention Guidelines recommended considering low-dose aspirin therapy only among adults 40 to 70 years of age who are at higher atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) risk but not at high risk of bleeding. However, it remains unclear how these patients are best identified. The present study aimed to assess the value of coronary artery calcium (CAC) for guiding aspirin allocation for primary prevention by using 2019 aspirin meta-analysis data on cardiovascular disease relative risk reduction and bleeding risk.

Objective: Extant epidemiologic data of primary Sjögren's syndrome (SS) remains limited, particularly for racial/ethnic populations in the US. The Manhattan Lupus Surveillance Program (MLSP) is a population-based retrospective registry of cases of systemic lupus erythematosus and related diseases, including primary SS in Manhattan, New York. The MLSP was used to provide estimates of the incidence and prevalence of primary SS across major racial/ethnic populations.

Although many treatments are currently available, unmet need exists for new testosterone (T) replacement therapies that are simple to administer and use, are safe, and mimic physiologic T levels.
Aim: The study aim was to determine the pharmacokinetics (PK), safety, and tolerability of T enanthate (TE) administered via a novel single-use autoinjector system, which was designed to eject high-viscosity solutions from a prefilled syringe fitted with a five-eighths-inch 27-gauge needle.

Objective: Despite the high prevalence of depression among vulnerable Hispanics with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), many do not disclose it or seek treatment. This study explored patient perceptions of depression, its association with their primary disease, barriers to disclosure, reasons for low utilization of mental health care resources, and culturally acceptable intervention approaches.
Methods: Semistructured interviews were conducted with 46 participants with RA.

The most suitable material used to perform suburethral sling procedures for recurrent or severe stress urinary incontinence remains controversial. A comparison was made between two commonly used materials, synthetic Gore-Tex (expanded reinforced polytetrafluoroethylene) and autologous fascia lata. Both groups showed improved urethral pressure profiles postoperatively, but there was no difference in the magnitude of change between groups.
