Endemic cretinism (EC) is one of the most severe iodine deficiency disorders, leading to typical symptoms such as neurodevelopmental impairments or mental deficits. In addition to environmental factors, the pathogenesis of its genetic contribution remains unclear. The study revealed the differential expression profiles of long non-coding RNA(lncRNA) and messenger RNA(mRNA) based on high-throughput RNA-seq.

Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is the leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide, but the underlying molecular mechanisms remain largely unclear. The transcription factor (TF) specificity protein 1 (SP1) plays a crucial role in the development of various cancers, including LUAD. Recent studies have indicated that master TFs may form phase-separated macromolecular condensates to promote super-enhancer (SE) assembly and oncogene expression.

Atherosclerosis is a chronic inflammatory disease characterized by the accumulation of immune cells in the intima of arteries. Experimental and clinical evidence shows that both innate and adaptive immunity orchestrate the progression of atherosclerosis. The heterogeneous nature of immune cells within atherosclerosis lesions is important.

Breast cancer (BC) is one of the most common cancer types worldwide and the first cause of cancer-related deaths in women. Transient receptor potential vanillin 3 (TRPV3) has been preliminarily discovered to play an important role in various cancers, including BC. Here, we explored the effect of TRPV3 on breast cancer cells and its potential mechanism.

The linear ubiquitin chain assembly complex (LUBAC) is the only known E3 ligase complex in which the ubiquitin-like (UBL) domains of SHARPIN and HOIL-1L interact with HOIP to determine the structural stability of LUBAC. The interactions between subunits within LUBAC have been a topic of extensive research. However, the impact of the LTM motif on the interaction between the UBL domains of SHARPIN and HOIL-1L with HOIP remains unclear.

Oxidized low-density lipoprotein (oxLDL), a key component in atherosclerosis and hyperlipidemia, is a risk factor for atherothrombosis in dyslipidemia, yet its mechanism is poorly understood. In this study, we used oxLDL-induced human aortic endothelial cells (HAECs) and high-fat diet (HFD)-fed mice as a hyperlipidemia model. Phosphatidylserine (PS) exposure, cytosolic Ca, reactive oxygen species (ROS), and lipid peroxidation were measured by flow cytometer.

Hyperlipidemia (HLP) is a prevalent metabolic disorder and a significant risk factor for cardiovascular disease. According to recent discoveries, super-enhancers (SEs) play a role in the increased expression of genes that encode important regulators of both cellular identity and the progression of diseases. However, the underlying function of SEs in the development of HLP is still unknown.

Research suggests that ischemic glycolysis improves myocardial tolerance to anoxia and low-flow ischemia. The rate of glycolysis during ischemia reflects the severity of the injury caused by ischemia and subsequent functional recovery following reperfusion. Histone H2AK119 ubiquitination (H2Aub) is a common modification that is primarily associated with gene silencing.

Cerebral ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury is notably linked with folic acid (FA) deficiency. The aim of our investigation was to explore the effects and underlying mechanisms by which FA mitigates I/R, specifically through regulating the GCPII transcriptional adaptive program. Initially, we discovered that following cerebral I/R, levels of FA, methionine synthase (MTR), and methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) were decreased, while GCPII expression was elevated.
