The paper is devoted to investigating the quasi-synchronization issue of fractional-order multi-layer networks with mismatched parameters under delay-dependent impulsive feedback control. It is worth highlighting that fractional-order multi-layer networks with mismatched parameters, as the extension model for single-layer or two-layer ones, are constructed in this paper. Simultaneously, the intra-layer and inter-layer couplings are taken into consideration, which is more general and rarely considered in discussions of network synchronization.

School of Marine Science and Technology, Shandong, Harbin Institute of Technology (Weihai), Wenhua West Road, 2#, Weihai, 264209, People's Republic of China.

Background: Aptamers refer to the artificially synthesized nucleic acid sequences (DNA/RNA) that can bind to a wide range of targets with high affinity and specificity, which are generally generated from systematic evolution of ligands by exponential enrichment (SELEX). As a novel method of aptamers screening, whole-cell-SELEX (WC-SELEX) has gained more and more attention in many fields such as biomedicine, analytical chemistry, and molecular diagnostics due to its ability to screen multiple potential aptamers without knowing the detailed structural information of target molecules.

Methods And Results: In recent years, with the deepening of research on application of aptamers, the traditional WC-SELEX cannot meet the practical application because of long experimental period, complicated operation process and low specificity, etc.

Despite the importance of environmental penalties in environmental enforcement, how and under what situations they impact stock market reaction is still unclear. Drawing on the theories of expectancy violation and attention driven, a conceptual model is built to explore how environmental penalty influences stock market reaction through investor attention. Furthermore, it is explored that the air pollution and industry saliency facilitate the indirect relationship between environmental penalty and investor attention.

In this paper, bipartite synchronization of signed networks with stochastic disturbances via aperiodically intermittent control is investigated. The aperiodically intermittent control presented is based on discrete-time state observations rather than continuous-time ones. To formulate signed networks and exhibit the competitive relation, a structurally balanced signed network is built and all the units are divided into two subcommunities.

Mass spectrometric detection of fleeting neutral intermediates generated in electrochemical reactions.

Chem Sci

July 2021

Beijing National Laboratory for Molecular Sciences, College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering, Peking University Beijing 100871 China

Towards the goal of on-line monitoring of transient neutral intermediates during electrochemical reactions, an electrochemistry-neutral reionization-mass spectrometry (EC-NR-MS) technique was developed in this work. The EC-NR setup consisted of a customized EC flow cell, a sonic spray ionization source, a heating tube, an ion deflector and an electrospray ionization source, which were respectively used for the precise control of the electrochemical reaction, solution nebulization, droplet desolvation, ion deflection and neutral intermediate ionization. Based on the EC-NR-MS approach, some long-sought neutral radicals including TPrA˙, DBAE˙ and TEOA˙, which belong to important reductive intermediates in electrochemiluminescence (ECL) reactions, were successfully identified which helps to clarify the previously unproven ECL reaction mechanism.

Environ Sci Pollut Res Int

December 2020

School of Marine Science and Technology, Harbin Institute of Technology (Weihai), Wenhua West Road, 2#, Weihai, 264209, Shandong Province, People's Republic of China.

A novel method referred to as hyperbranched rolling circle amplification (HRCA) coupled with lateral flow dipstick (LFD) (HRCA-LFD) here was developed for specific, sensitive, rapid, and simple detection of Prorocentrum minimum. HRCA-LFD relies on a padlock probe (PLP) consisting of a common ligation sequence, two terminal sequences that complement the target DNA, and a manually designed detection probe (LFD probe). The two terminal sequences of the PLP were designed against the species-specific sites of the large subunit ribosomal DNA (LSU rDNA) D1-D2 region of P.

This paper investigates the exponential bipartite synchronization of a general class of delayed signed networks with multi-links by using an aperiodically intermittent control strategy. The main result is a set of sufficient conditions for bipartite synchronization that depend on the network's topology, control gain, and the maximum proportion of rest time. An application to Chua's circuits is then considered, and some numerical simulation results are presented.
