This paper presents an all-in-one encoder/decoder approach for the nondestructive identification of three-dimensional (3D)-printed objects. The proposed method consists of three parts: 3D code insertion, terahertz (THz)-based detection, and code extraction. During code insertion, a relevant one-dimensional (1D) identification code is generated to identify the 3D-printed object.

Drawing on institutional theory, this study investigates how institutional pressure can affect digital platform risk. Specifically, it examines whether two types of institutional pressure - domestic market e-commerce policy uncertainty and foreign market e-commerce policy uncertainty - affect the perceived digital platform risk for international new ventures (INVs) and its relationship with their scope of internationalization. The recent crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic has further impacted this new phenomenon, thus we examine its effects on the relationships between/among domestic and foreign market e-commerce policy uncertainties, digital platform risk, and the internationalization scope of INVs.

This study empirically analyzes how corporate social responsibility (CSR) performance feedback impacts CSR performance, focusing on the performance feedback perspective of behavioral theory of the firm (BTOF). By performing generalized least squares (GLS) regression analysis based on Korean company data from 2012 to 2019, we presented evidence that positive social and historical performance feedback had a positive effect on CSR performance. Our results provide evidence that firms with higher social and historical CSR performance than CSR aspiration may have higher CSR performance than those that do not.

Air pollution may influence prenatal maternal stress, but research evidence is scarce. Using data from a prospective cohort study conducted on pregnant women (n = 2153), we explored the association between air pollution and perceived stress, which was assessed using the 14-item Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), among pregnant women. Average exposures to particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter of < 2.

As service latency and core network load relates to performance issues in the conventional cloud-based computing environment, the fog computing system has gained a lot of interest. However, since the load can be concentrated on specific fog computing nodes because of spatial and temporal service characteristics, performance degradation can occur, resulting in quality of service (QoS) degradation, especially for delay-sensitive services. Therefore, this paper proposes a prioritized task distribution scheme, which considers static as well as opportunistic fog computing nodes according to their mobility feature.

Background: Skill training in nursing education has been highly dependent on self-training because of Korea's high student-faculty ratio. Students tend to have a passive attitude in self-practice, and it is hard to expect effective learning outcomes with traditional checklist-dependent self-practice. Smart glasses have a high potential to assist nursing students with timely information, and a hands-free device does not interrupt performance.

Intrauterine inflammation is shown to be associated with preterm birth, fetal inflammatory response syndrome, and other pregnancy-related comorbidities such as central nervous system diseases including cerebral palsy and periventricular leukomalacia, pulmonary diseases such as bronchopulmonary dysplasia and respiratory distress syndrome, and necrotizing enterocolitis, to name a few. Many animal studies on intrauterine inflammation demonstrate that ascending infection of reproductive organs or the production of proinflammatory cytokines by some stimuli in utero results in such manifestations. Melatonin, known for its primary function in maintaining circadian rhythm, is now recognized as one of the most potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory drugs.

Current consumer wearable devices such as smartwatches mostly rely on touchscreen-based user interfaces. Even though touch-based user interfaces help smartphone users quickly adapt to wearable devices with touchscreens, there exist several limitations. In this paper, we propose a non-touchscreen tactile wearable interface as an alternative to touchscreens on wearable devices.
