Objectives: This study aims to use Mendelian randomisation to identify the causal relationship between a spectrum of 41 inflammatory cytokines and the development of oropharyngeal cancer.

Methods: This study investigated genetic variants that have been associated with oral and oropharyngeal cancer using data from a large GWAS. Inflammatory cytokine data were obtained from 8293 asymptomatic individuals.

Salidroside Mediated the Nrf2/GPX4 Pathway to Attenuates Ferroptosis in Parkinson's Disease.

Parkinson's Disease (PD) is characterized by the loss of dopaminergic neurons, with ferroptosis playing a significant role. Salidroside (SAL) has shown neuroprotective potential, this study aims to explore its capacity to mitigate ferroptosis in PD, focusing on the modulation of the Nuclear Factor E2-Related Factor 2 (Nrf2)/ Glutathione Peroxidase 4 (GPX4) pathway. Male C57BL/6 mice were subjected to 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP) to induce PD-like symptoms, followed by SAL and Nrf2 inhibitor administration.
