To analyze the clinical features, epidemiological characteristics, risk factors, and complication characteristics of pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) combined with extrapulmonary tuberculosis (EPTB) in elderly patients (aged > 60 years). Clinical data were collected from pathogen positive elderly patients with PTB hospitalized in a teaching hospital in Zhejiang from 2017 to 2023. We retrospectively analyzed the risk factors for complications of EPTB in elderly patients with PTB by univariate and multivariate logistic regression models.

Application value of volumetric CT value in quantifying the activity of a pulmonary tuberculoma.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to explore the auxiliary diagnostic value of volumetric CT value in quantifying the activity of a pulmonary tuberculoma.

Methods: Chest CT image data of 112 patients with pulmonary tuberculomas who were diagnosed clinically between October 16, 2013 and March 21, 2023 were selected. With the shortest diameter axis>5 mm on the mediastinal window serving as the inclusion criterion, 108 active tuberculomas and 64 non-active tuberculomas were selected.

This study summarized the safety and efficacy of transforaminal radiofrequency thermocoagulation for TN by comparing puncture approaches or guidance techniques, thereby providing higher-quality clinical evidence.

Background And Aim: Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), as a complementary and alternative therapy, has played increasingly important roles in clinical treatment and disease prevention. Zuogui Yin (ZGY) is one of the well-known TCM prescriptions used for the treatment of male infertility. To fully reveal the potential mechanisms underlying the therapeutic effects of ZGY on male infertility, a network pharmacology approach was conducted at the molecular level.

Erectile dysfunction and associated risk factors in male patients with ischemic stroke: A cross-sectional study.

Patients with ischemic stroke (IS) often suffered from the problem of erectile dysfunction (ED) and psychological disease. However, they are often ignored because these symptoms are more obvious in the convalescent stage of stroke, which affects the quality of sexual life of patients. This study aimed to investigate the incidence of ED, sexual quality of life, and mental state of patients after stroke, as well as analyze the relevant risk factors affecting their psychological status.
