Role of CD200/CD200R Signaling Pathway in Regulation of CD4+T Cell Subsets During Thermal Ablation of Hepatocellular Carcinoma.

BACKGROUND In this study, we assessed the role of CD200 and CD200 receptor (CD200R) in regulating CD4+T cell subsets and assessed the therapeutic efficacy of thermal ablation for liver hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in rats. MATERIAL AND METHODS Seventy-eight male C57BL/6 rats were randomly divided into 7 groups: a control group, a model group, a CD200FC group, an anti-CD200R1 mAb group, a thermal ablation group, a thermal ablation+CD200 FC group, and a thermal ablation+anti-CD200R1 mAb group. The levels of CD200, CD200R1, Th1, Th17, and Treg in peripheral blood were detected by flow cytometry.

This research aims to evaluate the prognostic value of LVI assessed by D2-40 not only in patients with early invasive breast cancer but also in lymph node-negative, lymph node-positive, luminal A-like, luminal B-like, HER2-enriched, and triple-negative subgroups.The study cohort included 255 patients with a median follow-up of 101 months.

Protective Effects of Apigenin Against Paraquat-Induced Acute Lung Injury in Mice.

This study aimed to investigate the protective effects of apigenin against paraquat (PQ)-induced acute lung injury (ALI) in mice. Male Kunming mice were randomly divided into five groups: group 1 (control), group 2 (PQ), group 3 (PQ + apigenin 25 mg/kg), group 4 (PQ + apigenin 50 mg/kg), and group 5 (PQ + apigenin 100 mg/kg). The PQ + apigenin group received apigenin by gavage daily for consecutive 7 days, respectively, while the mice in control and PQ groups were given an equivalent volume of saline.

Association between PON1 L55M polymorphism and ischemic stroke: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Objective: The present study aims to evaluate the relation between PON1 L55M polymorphism and ischemic stroke by a meta-analysis method.

Methods: English and Chinese databases were retrieved to find qualified studies; a random or fixed effects model was used to merge the odds ratio (OR); Q test was used to assess the heterogeneity among studies, and Egger's test and funnel plot were used for the assessment of publication bias.

Results: 14 studies were included in the meta-analysis; in total populations, there was no association between PON1 gene L55M polymorphism and ischemic stroke in additive, dominant, and recessive model, respectively.

Effects of the ninein-like protein centrosomal protein on breast cancer cell invasion and migration.

To investigate the effects of the centrosomal protein, ninein-like protein (Nlp), on the proliferation, invasion and metastasis of MCF-7 breast cancer cells, the present study established green fluorescent protein (GFP)-containing MCF7 plasmids with steady and overexpression of Nlp (MCG7-GFP-N1p) and blank plasmids (MCF7-GFP) using lentiviral transfection technology in MCF7 the breast cancer cell line. The expression of Nlp was determined by reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction and western blott analysis. Differences in levels of proliferation, invasion and metastasis between the MCF7-GFP-Nlp group and MCF-GFP group were compared using MTT, plate colony formation and Transwell migration assays.

Early enteral and parenteral nutritional support after hepatectomy in patients with hepatic carcinoma: a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Background: This study sought to conduct a systematic review providing a comparative analysis of enteral nutrition (EN) and parenteral nutrition (PN) after hepatectomy.

Methods: PubMed, Embase, and the China National Knowledge Infrastructure databases were searched for publications describing randomized controlled trials that compared early EN and PN after hepatectomy. The time period for this search was from January 1990 to December 2013.
