The impact of COVID-19 vaccination on psychiatric symptoms in schizophrenia patients: A retrospective study.

The objective was to investigate the impact of COVID-19 vaccination on anxiety, depression, stress perception, and psychiatric symptoms in patients with schizophrenia, and to explore severity of psychiatric symptoms is associated with vaccine hesitancy in individuals with schizophrenia. Mental health symptoms were evaluated in 273 hospitalized schizophrenia patients who received COVID-19 vaccination, and in 80 patients who refused vaccination, both before and after immunization. The study assessed the effects of vaccination on psychiatric symptoms and the potential association between vaccination behavior and psychological distress.

Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on lifestyle and mental state in patients with schizophrenia: A retrospective study.

The corona virus disease 2019 pandemic's movement restrictions have an effect on people's lifestyles and mental health, and the most susceptible, such as persons with schizophrenia, are more subject to external influences. To analyze the lifestyle, anxiety, depression and stress status of inpatients with schizophrenia during corona virus disease 2019. A total of 205 patients with stable schizophrenia who were hospitalized during the epidemic period were selected.

Study on the clinical correlation between the expression of serum TNF-α and iNOS as well as cognitive impairment and disease burden in patients with schizophrenia.

Objectives: To investigate the clinical correlation between the expression of serum tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) as well as cognitive impairment and disease burden in patients with first-episode schizophrenia.

Methods: A total of 102 patients with first-episode schizophrenia admitted to the Department of Psychiatry, Hainan Province Anning Hospital from June 2018 to June 2020 were randomly selected as the observation group, and 102 healthy people who underwent physical examination in our hospital during the same period were selected as the control group. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to detect the expression level of serum TNF-α in each group, and the colorimetric method was adopted for detecting the expression level of serum iNOS in each group; Moreover, cognitive function of patients was assessed by MATRICS Consensus Cognitive Battery (MCCB), disease burden was assessed by Family Burden of Disease Scale (FBS), and the correlation between the expression of serum TNF-α and iNOS as well as cognitive impairment and disease burden was analyzed by method.

Effects of ABCB1 gene polymorphism on the efficacy of antidepressant drugs: A protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis.

Background: Antidepressant drugs are mainly used to treat depression clinically. ABCB1 affects the P-glycoprotein activity and changes the amount of drugs in the blood tissue barrier that can be squeezed back into the blood, thus affecting the efficacy of antidepressants. In this present study, Meta-analysis was performed to further investigate the influences of ABCB1 gene polymorphism on antidepressant response.
