The current study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Compound Danshen Dripping Pills (CDDP) in improving cardiac function among patients with acute anterior ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (AAMI). Between February 2021 and February 2023, 247 eligible patients with AAMI after primary percutaneous coronary intervention (pPCI) were enrolled and randomly assigned (1∶1) to receive CDDP ( = 126) or placebo ( = 121), with a follow-up of 48 weeks. Compared with the placebo group, the CDDP group demonstrated a significant increase in left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) values after 24 weeks of the treatment (least squares mean: 3.

Purpose: To translate and cross-culturally adapt Fukushima Lumbar Spinal Stenosis Scale into a Simplified Chinese version (FLS-25-SC), and evaluate the reliability and validity of FLS-25-SC in patients with lumbar spinal stenosis.
Methods: Test-retest reliability was assessed by Intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC). Construct validity was analyzed by correlations between FLS-25-SC and the Swiss Spinal Stenosis (SSS) Questionnaire, Visual analogue scale (VAS) as well as the short form (36) health survey (SF-36).

Periprosthetic osteolysis (PPO), caused by wear particles, is a significant complication of total joint replacement, leading to prosthesis failure. Previous research has highlighted the crucial role of osteoclast-induced bone destruction in PPO progression. Albiflorin (AF), a monoterpene glycoside from Paeonia lactiflora, is a key active ingredient known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Osteoporosis (OP) is a disorder of bone remodeling caused by an imbalance between bone resorption by osteoclasts and bone formation by osteoblasts. Therefore, inhibiting excessive osteoclast activity is one of the promising strategies for treating OP. A major transient receptor potential cation channel, known as transient receptor potential ankyrin 1 (TRPA1), was found to alleviate joint pain and cartilage degeneration in osteoarthritis.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a common joint disease characterized by progressive cartilage degeneration. Unfortunately, currently available clinical drugs are mainly analgesics and cannot alleviate the development of OA. Kartogenin (KGN) has been found to promote the differentiation of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) into chondrocytes for the treatment of cartilage damage in early OA.

Despite the promising results of immunotherapy, further experiments need to be considered because of several factors ranging from physical barriers to off-tumor adverse effects. It is surprising that adoptive cellular immunotherapy, particularly dendritic cell and cytokine-induced killer (DC-CIK) therapy, is far less emphasized in the treatment of cancer diseases. DC-CIK therapy in cancer patients presents auspicious results with low or no side effects, which should not be overlooked.

Background: Timely diagnosis is the key factor to improve the prognosis of endometrial carcinoma (EC). To date, no particularly good markers could significantly improve the detection rate of EC. This study aimed to assess the utility of serum markers homocysteine (Hcy), human epididymal protein 4 (HE4), cancer antigen 199 (CA199), cancer antigen 125 (CA125), fibrinogen (Fib), and D-dimer (D-D) for EC diagnosis, especially Hcy of which its role in EC has not been noticed.

Background: Postoperative delirium (POD) is a common complication with poor prognosis in the elderly, but its mechanism has not been fully elucidated. There is evidence that the changes in synaptic activity in the brain are closely related to the occurrence of POD. And neuronal pentraxin 2 (NPTX2) can regulate synaptic activity in vivo.

Objective: Osteoarthritis (OA) is a degenerative joint disease that affects elderly populations worldwide, causing pain and disability. Alteration of the fibroblast-like synoviocytes (FLSs) phenotype leads to an imbalance in the synovial inflammatory microenvironment, which accelerates the progression of OA. Despite this knowledge, the specific molecular mechanisms of the synovium that affect OA are still unclear.
