The study focused on the Elateridae beetle family in the Western Black Sea region of Turkey, identifying 44 species from 5 subfamilies and 19 genera.
After incorporating literature data, the research region had a total of 72 species across 6 subfamilies and 23 genera, with Elaterinae and Dendrometrinae being the most prevalent.
The fauna in this region shows a significant overlap with other parts of Turkey and is most similar to the European Western Palaearctic region, while the Middle and Western Black Sea regions have more in common with each other than with Central Anatolia.
