Desirability of medicine as a profession in developing countries: the case of Turkey.

Medicine has always been an appealing profession. However, some studies have shown that the medical profession in Turkey appeared to lose some of its appeal around the 1990s. The purpose of this study was to determine to what extent young people currently prefer the medical profession in Turkey as an example for developing countries.

Burnout status of interns and associated factors.

It is well known that due to long working hours and stressful working conditions, doctors experience burnout more often than other professional groups. Their career burnout begins in the early years, continues to increase and becomes most evident in the internship of medical school. On this wise, the purpose of this study was to investigate the burnout status of intern doctors and the associated factors.
