: This case study investigates the effect of a five-session whole-body cryostimulation (WBC) cycle on a 55-year-old female patient with cerebral palsy (CP) and lower limb spasticity (LLS) with a typical diplegic gait pattern. CP is a common physical disability characterized by motor impairments, including spasticity, which significantly impacts mobility and quality of life. The current treatments for spasticity often have limited efficacy and considerable side effects, making alternative therapies like WBC an area of interest.

Background: Understanding vascular development and the key factors involved in regulating angiogenesis-the growth of new blood vessels from pre-existing vasculature-is crucial for developing therapeutic approaches to promote wound healing. Computational techniques offer valuable insights into improving angiogenic strategies, leading to enhanced tissue regeneration and improved outcomes for chronic wound healing. While chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) models are widely used for examining fundamental mechanisms in vascular development, they lack quantification of essential parameters such as blood flow rate, intravascular pressure, and changes in vessel diameter.

Although COVID-19 is primarily known as a respiratory disease, there is growing evidence of neurological complications, such as ischemic stroke, in infected individuals. This study aims to evaluate the impact of COVID-19 on acute ischemic stroke (AIS) using radiomic features extracted from brain MR images and machine learning methods. This retrospective study included MRI data from 57 patients diagnosed with AIS who presented to the Department of Radiology at Hacettepe University Hospital between March 2020 and September 2021.

Telomerase and telomeres are crucial in cancer cell immortalization, making them key targets for anticancer therapies. Currently, 6-thio-dG (THIO) combined with the anti-PD-1 inhibitor Cemiplimab is under phase II clinical investigation (NCT05208944) in NSCLC patients resistant to prior immunotherapies. This study presents the design, synthesis, and evaluation of novel bimodular conjugate molecules combining telomere-targeting nucleoside analogs and phosphatidyl diglyceride groups.

: Systemic inflammation, attacks, deterioration of thoracic region mechanics, medications used, and decreased physical activity level (PAL) and fitness negatively may affect respiratory muscle strength. The primary aim of this study was to evaluate dynamic inspiratory muscle strength (S-index), PAL, and physical fitness in children with asthma compared to healthy peers. The secondary aim of this study was to investigate the relationships between S-index and peak inspiratory flow (PIF) values and functional parameters in childhood asthma.

Background And Aim: Malnutrition is strongly related to mortality in intensive care unit (ICU) patients. The Patient- and Nutrition-Derived Outcome Risk Assessment Score (PANDORA) is a novel mortality prediction tool encompassing nutritional assessment. Since there is limited evidence regarding the power of PANDORA in predicting mortality in critically ill patients, we aimed to evaluate the benefit of adding PANDORA to the Global Leadership Initiative on Malnutrition (GLIM) for mortality prediction in the ICU setting by comparing it with the other valid mortality predictors.

Introduction: Sexual health, pleasure, justice (equity in sexual rights and experiences), and well-being are crucial determinants of health and life quality, yet often overlooked in the rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases (RMD) field. However, this topic has received more attention recently, and there is a need to map the current literature to inform the direction of future studies. Hence, this protocol outlines a scoping review to systematically map existing evidence on sexual health in people with RMD, exploring key themes and identifying evidence gaps across multiple dimensions, including sexual well-being, justice and pleasure.

Aims: Extragonadal yolk sac tumour (YST) is rare, and may present a diagnostic challenge. YST differentiation was recently reported in some somatically derived tumours in the sinonasal location and in the female genital tract, together with a SMARCB1/INI1 loss. We report two paratesticular/inguinal tumours with striking morphological and immunohistochemical similarities with YST, further expanding the spectrum of extragonadal tumours with YST-like morphology and SMARCB1/INI1 loss.

Aim: This study aims to assess the impacts of various trigger day progesterone (P) and luteinizing hormone (LH) levels on live birth rates (LBRs) in fresh in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycles, considering their elevation from stimulation and premature luteinization.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study included the first ovarian stimulation cycles with GnRH antagonist protocol of 1253 patients who underwent intracytoplasmic sperm injection and fresh embryo transfer at a tertiary clinic's IVF center between 2010 and 2016. Participants were divided into four groups based on trigger day serum P and LH levels, using the 90th percentile thresholds for P (1.

Phenylketonuria (PKU) is characterized by an autosomal recessive mutation in the phenylalanine hydroxylase (PAH) gene. Impaired PAH enzyme activity leads to the accumulation of phenylalanine (Phe) and its metabolites in the bloodstream, which disrupts the central nervous system and causes psychomotor retardation. Early diagnosis of PKU is essential for timely intervention.
