Introduction: Sedentary lifestyles is linked to a reduction in back muscle strength, endurance, and balance, consequently increasing the risk of experiencing low back pain. Kinesio taping has been shown to be effective in enhancing endurance, flexibility, and balance. This study aimed to investigate the effects of Kinesio taping on measures of lumbar function in sedentary individuals.

Purpose: Bronchiectasis is associated with loss of lung function, substantial use of health care resources, and increased morbidity and mortality in people with cardiopulmonary diseases. We assessed the frequency of progression or new development of bronchiectasis and predictors of progression in participants in low-dose computed tomography (CT) screening programs.
Materials And Methods: We reviewed our prospectively enrolled screening cohort in the Early Lung and Cardiac Action Program cohort of smokers, aged 40 to 90, between 2010 and 2019, and medical records to assess the progression of bronchiectasis after five or more years of follow-up after baseline low-dose CT.

Subcutaneous panniculitis-like T-cell lymphoma (SPTCL) is a rare subtype of T-cell lymphomas with a characteristic feature of subcutaneous nodules associated with hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). Treatment options for SPTCL are mainly chemotherapy (CMT) or immunosuppressive agents with selection currently dependent on physician decisions. Outcomes between the 2 treatment remedies have not yet been comprehensively compared.

National Cyclotron and PET Centre, Chulabhorn Hospital, Bangkok, Thailand.
The National Cyclotron and PET Centre at Chulabhorn Hospital offers nuclear medicine diagnostic services using state-of-the-art digital PET/CT and PET/MRI machines as well as other related devices. Additionally, the center plays a vital role by having a cyclotron to produce radiopharmaceuticals, which are used both in-house and in other hospitals throughout the country. Despite the center's strict adherence to international standards regarding the use of radioactive substances in patients, there remains a potential risk of radiation exposure for operators, workers, and the public due to radioactive contamination and emissions from unsealed sources.

Behçet's disease (BD) manifests as an autoimmune disorder featuring recurrent ulcers and multi-organ involvement, influenced by genetic factors associated with both HLA and non-HLA genes, including TNF-α and ERAP1. The study investigated the susceptible alleles of both Class I and II molecules of the HLA gene in 56 Thai BD patients and 192 healthy controls through next-generation sequencing using a PacBio kit. The study assessed 56 BD patients, primarily females (58.

Purpose: The objective of our study was to study and compare the sonographic findings of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and benign liver lesions, and apply these to an HCC surveillance program in patient with chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV).
Methods: Sonographic findings of HCC and benign liver lesions were retrospectively reviewed following diagnosis based on either computer tomography or magnetic resonance imaging from July 2010 to December 2020. Multiple sonographic features were analyzed, including internal echogenicity, rim characteristics, and posterior acoustic enhancement.

Objectives: This study compared the effectiveness of a new supraglottic airway device (SGAD) in cats undergoing anaesthesia using two types of mechanical ventilation: volume-controlled ventilation (VCV) and pressure-controlled ventilation (PCV).
Methods: A total of 13 healthy cats (five male, eight female; median age 2 years [range 1-3]) were randomly allocated to either VCV or PCV. Five tidal volumes (6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 ml/kg) and five peak inspiratory pressures (4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 cmHO) were randomly applied with a minute ventilation of 100 ml/kg/min.

Background Pulmonary noncalcified nodules (NCNs) attached to the fissural or costal pleura with smooth margins and triangular or lentiform, oval, or semicircular (LOS) shapes at low-dose CT are recommended for annual follow-up instead of immediate workup. Purpose To determine whether management of mediastinal or diaphragmatic pleura-attached NCNs (M/DP-NCNs) with the same features as fissural or costal pleura-attached NCNs at low-dose CT can follow the same recommendations. Materials and Methods This retrospective study reviewed chest CT examinations in participants from two databases.

To precisely determine the severity of COVID-19-related pneumonia, computed tomography (CT) is an imaging modality beneficial for patient monitoring and therapy planning. Thus, we aimed to develop a deep learning-based image segmentation model to automatically assess lung lesions related to COVID-19 infection and calculate the total severity score (TSS). The entire dataset consisted of 124 COVID-19 patients acquired from Chulabhorn Hospital, divided into 28 cases without lung lesions and 96 cases with lung lesions categorized severity by radiologists regarding TSS.

Background: Liposarcoma is the most commonly diagnosed subtype of soft tissue sarcoma. As these tumors often arise near vital organs and neurovascular structures, complete resection can be challenging; consequently, recurrence rates are high. Additionally, available chemotherapeutic agents have shown limited benefit and substantial toxicities.
