Objective: The aim: The aim of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of osteotropic drugs in the treatment of destructive forms of apical periodontitis.

Patients And Methods: Materials and methods: The study was conducted at Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University, Department of Therapeutic Dentistry, Lviv, Ukraine. As a result of the research, 185 patients with destructive forms of apical periodontitis (DFAP) were examined and treated.

Background: Autoimmune thyroiditis (AIT), a T cell-mediated organ-specific disorder, and transcription factors have a critical role in the regulation of immune responses, especially in the fate of T-helper cells.

Objectives: This study aims to investigate changes in the gene expression profile of transcription factors and regulators in patients with different forms of thyroid pathology.

Methods: We used the pathway-specific real-time PCR array (Neurotrophins and Receptors RT2 Profiler PCR Array, QIAGEN, Germany) to identify and verify transcription factors and regulators pathway-focused genes expression in peripheral white blood cells of patients with postoperative hypothyroidism, hypothyroidism as a result of AIT and AIT with elevated serum and antithyroglobulin (anti-Tg) and anti-thyroid peroxidase (anti-TPO) antibodies.

The aim of the study was to investigate the phagocytic and metabolic activity of peripheral blood neutrophils in rats with lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced periodontitis combined with chronic thiolactone hyperhomocysteinemia (HHcy).The experiment included non-linear mature male rats (n=48), which were divided into 4 groups: control; animals with a periodontitis model; animals with a model of chronic thiolactone HHcy; animals with a model of periodontitis in combination with chronic thiolactone HHcy. Phagocytic activity, phagocytic index and phagocytic number were determined as indicators of phagocytosis of peripheral blood neutrophils.

Although dry mouth, dry eye, and swollen salivary glands are the hallmark manifestations of Sjögren's syndrome (pSS), a wide spectrum of other conditions should be considered for differential diagnosis. The diagnostic challenge is mainly encountered in patients presenting with dry eyes and/or dry mouth, who do not meet the full established classification criteria for pSS. Presented case-based review highlights the relationship between dry eye, parotid swelling, and psychiatric disorders.

The aim of this study was to establish histological state of the components of the affected area of skin in cases of application of xenograft saturated with silver nanocrystals in the dynamics after experimental thermal injury. The study was performed on 54 adult guinea pigs following the rules of bioethics.
