Background: Although the number of studies reporting war-induced effects on the health of the Ukrainian population has been growing, there are still little data on assessing patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) during the war. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of war on T2D patients' health to define key risk factors promoting disease progression.
Methods: A survey covering various aspects of T2D patients' experience and glycemic control data was conducted from June 2022 to February 2024.

Novel, «green» and simple visible spectrophotometric procedures for the determination of six dihydropyridines CCBs (amlodipine besylate (AML), lacidipine (LAC), levamlodipine besylate (LAML), nifedipine (NIF), nimodipine (NIM) and nitrendipine (NIT)) through derivatization with the sulfophthalein dye bromophenol blue (BPB) have been developed. The optimal parameters for CCBs spectrophotometric analysis via complex formation using BPB were as follows: detection wavelength-596 nm, reaction time-5 min, ratio of reacting components-1:1, operating temperature-25 ± 2 °C. Metformin, a widely used antidiabetic medication, has emerged as a promising broad-spectrum antiviral agent due to its ability to modulate cellular pathways essential for viral replication. By activating AMPK, metformin depletes cellular energy reserves that viruses rely on, effectively limiting the replication of pathogens such as influenza, HIV, SARS-CoV-2, HBV, and HCV. Its role in inhibiting the mTOR pathway, crucial for viral protein synthesis and reactivation, is particularly significant in managing infections caused by HIV, CMV, and EBV.

This work presents the development of an amperometric biosensor for detecting aspartate aminotransferase (AST) activity in biological fluids using a platinum disk electrode as the working transducer. Optimal concentrations of substrates (aspartate, α-ketoglutarate) and the coenzyme (pyridoxal phosphate) were determined to ensure efficient biosensor operation. A semi-permeable poly-m-phenylenediamine membrane was applied to enhance selectivity against electroactive interferents.

Patients And Methods: Materials and Methods: Endotheliocytes of the arterial and venous bed of the left and right testes of 60 white male rats, which were divided into two groups, were morphologically studied. The 1 group consisted of 30 intact animals, the 2 - 30 rats, which were daily intragastrically injected with a 30 % ethanol solution at the rate of 2 ml per 100 g of the animal's weight for 28 days.

Objective: Aim: To determine the effect of cell therapy on the intensity of lipid peroxidation processes in the liver, kidneys and lungs of rats of different ages under conditions of experimental cranio-skeletal trauma (CST).
Patients And Methods: Materials and Methods: In the experiments, 129 white male Wistar line rats of different age groups were used: immature rats aged 100-120 days and weighing 90-110 g; mature rats aged 6-8 months and weighing 180-200 g; and old rats aged 19-23 months and weighing 300-320 g. In each age group, CST was modeled under thiopental sodium anesthesia.

We present the molecular diagnosis results of 12 children with recurrent fever, analyzing the correlation between molecular findings and clinical symptoms. Nowadays, there is a need to expand the bank of spectrophotometric methods for the determination of perindopril in dosage forms for the purposes of routine pharmaceutical analysis, which would be simple, express, «green» and inexpensive. In the present work, perindopril in tablets was quantified via a direct simple, «green», and non-extracting spectrophotometric approach based on the formation of ion-pair complexes with sulphophtalein dyes. The absorbances of the colored reaction products were registered at 405 nm (bromocresol green, BCG), 397 nm (bromocresol purple, BCP, and bromothymol blue, BTB) and 598 nm (bromophenol blue, BPB).

The increase in female reproductive disorders, such as polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, and diminished ovarian reserve that lead to subfertility and infertility, has encouraged researchers to search and discover their underlying causes and risk factors. One of the crucial factors that may influence the increasing number of reproductive issues is environmental pollution, particularly exposure to man-made endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs). EDCs can interfere with the ovarian microenvironment, impacting not only granulosa cell function but also other surrounding ovarian cells and follicular fluid (FF), which all play essential roles for oocyte development, maturation, and overall reproductive function.
