Background: Unilateral focused ultrasound ventral intermediate thalamotomy (Vim-FUS) is effective in treating Parkinson's disease (PD) tremor. Ultrasound ablation of the subthalamic nucleus (STN-FUS) has demonstrated efficacy in improving all cardinal motor features of PD, including tremor.

Objective: To compare the efficacy in parkinsonian tremor control between Vim-FUS and STN-FUS.

Bilateral lesions of the basal ganglia using termocoagulation or radiation for improving tremor, bradykinesia, and rigidity in people with Parkinson's disease (PD) have been performed starting several decades ago, especially when levodopa and deep brain stimulation (DBS) surgery were not available. However, because of unclear additional benefit compared to unilateral lesion, and particularly to the evidence of increased adverse events occurrence, bilateral lesions were basically abandoned at the end of the 20th century. Therefore, bilateral DBS has become the standard procedure to treat PD.

Methods: A complete revision on the literature has been performed trying to gain knowledge on the diets that can prevent for cancer occurrence, or those that can cause malignancies.

Results: Fruits and vegetables are the foods that can prevent from cancer disease, soya and fishes also have demonstrated as preventive from some types of malignancies.
