Introduction And Hypothesis: We aimed to analyze the quality of sexual life of patients with apical vaginal wall prolapse who had undergone laparoscopic lateral suspension (LLS) and laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy (LSC).

Methods: We performed a secondary analysis of sexual outcomes of a previous randomized control trial comparing LLS and LSC in 89 women with symptomatic POP stage ≥ II. We evaluated sexually active (SA) and non-sexually active women (NSA) using the Pelvic Organ Prolapse/Incontinence Sexual Questionnaire-IUGA-Revised (PISQ-IR).

Purpose: Transient arginine vasopressin deficiency (AVP-D), previously called diabetes insipidus, is a well-known complication of transsphenoidal pituitary surgery (TPS) with no definite predictive biomarker to date making it difficult to anticipate. While oxytocin (OXT) was previously suggested as a possible biomarker to predict syndrome of inappropriate diuresis (SIAD)-related hyponatraemia after TPS, its secretion in patients presenting with AVP-D remains poorly understood. We therefore hypothesized that OXT might present a different secretion in the case of AVP-D which would support its potential as an early biomarker of AVP-D.

Introduction: Patients with food allergies need personalized information on their risk of reaction in "real-life" situations. This multicentric study aimed to investigate the link during accidental reactions between the nature and amount of food allergens consumed in "real-life situation" and the severity of the symptoms.

Methods: Patients were prospectively recruited from December 1, 2020, to December 31, 2021, at the emergency departments in the Geneva University Hospitals and local pediatric emergency facilities, through an allergy outpatient clinic, at school and daycare facilities and trough their primary care physicians.

Thyroidectomy without radioiodine in patients with low-risk thyroid cancer: 5 years of follow-up of the prospective randomised ESTIMABL2 trial.

Background: ESTIMABL2, a multicentre randomised phase 3 trial in patients with low-risk differentiated thyroid cancer (ie, pT1am or pT1b, N0 [no evidence of regional nodal involvement] or Nx [involvement of regional lymph nodes that cannot be assessed in the absence of neck dissection]), showed the non-inferiority of a follow-up strategy without radioactive iodine (I) administration compared with a postoperative I administration at 3 years post-randomisation. Here, we report a pre-specified analysis after 5 years of follow-up.

Methods: Patients treated with total thyroidectomy with or without prophylactic neck lymph node dissection, without postoperative suspicious findings on neck ultrasonography, were randomly assigned to the no-radioiodine group or to the radioiodine group (1·1 GBq-30 mCi after recombinant human thyrotropin-stimulating hormone).

Background: Idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus (iNPH) is a prevalent neurological disorder, but its diagnosis remains challenging. Dual-task (DT) walking performance is a reliable indicator of iNPH but less is known about the role of cognitive reserve (CR) in predicting DT walking performance.

Frontotemporal dementia (FTD) affects the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain, leading to personality changes, language impairments, and behavioral disturbances, including impulsivity and disinhibition. However, it is unknown whether this absence is intrinsic to their pathology or merely a consequence of reduced trunk flexion. Immersive virtual reality (IVR) can create a patient avatar whose range of motion can be modulated to differ from the real movement.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective study on the records of patients with miscellaneous immune-related neuropathies followed by the "Referral Centre for Neuromuscular Diseases and ALS" in collaboration with the Services of Internal Medicine and Hematology (La Timone Hospital, and the Paoli Calmettes-Insitute, Marseille, France; Geneva University Hospitals, Geneva, Switzerland). Methods And Results: Ninety-eight patients from the randomized controlled SERVE (Effect of Phosphodiesterase-5 Inhibition With Tadalafil on Systemic Right Ventricular Size and Function) trial were included. The correlation between baseline hs-cTnT concentrations and biventricular volumes and function quantified by cardiac magnetic resonance or cardiac multirow detector computed tomography was assessed by adjusted linear regression models.

A false positive hair ethylglucuronide dosage in an alcohol abstinent patient after liver transplantation: a case report.

The use of direct alcohol biomarkers (ethylglucuronide and phosphatidylethanol) has recently been implemented in a clinical setting. Due to their low alcohol detection threshold, high sensitivity, and specificity, these tools are very useful in the pre- and post-liver transplantation setting, where the history and physical signs are not always reliable. However, the interpretation of the results can sometimes be misleading and must be integrated into a global clinical evaluation and, more importantly, in the clinical context of each patient.

Chimeric antigen receptor T cell (CAR-T cell) therapy has become a standard-of-care for several hematological and a promising treatment for solid malignancies or for selected non-malignant autoimmune disorders. Hematological complications following this treatment are very common with the majority of patients experiencing at least one cytopenia after CAR-T cell injections. The management of these adverse events is not standardized and represents an area of active research and unmet clinical needs.
