Objective: To examine the course of interstitial lung disease associated with rheumatoid arthritis (RA-ILD) in France on treatment with Janus kinase inhibitors (JAKis) using the MAJIK-SFR registry.
Methods: Prospective national multicentre observational study identifying patients with RA-ILD from the MAJIK-SFR registry. Pulmonary assessment data were collected at JAKi initiation and follow-up visits (6 months, 12 months and a median of 21 months postinclusion), including chest high-resolution CT (HRCT), pulmonary function tests (forced vital capacity (FVC) and diffusing capacity of the lungs for carbon monoxide (DLCO)), acute exacerbations of ILD, respiratory infections and lung cancers.

This study investigates the diagnostic practices for mucormycosis among 30 French University Hospital mycology laboratories, in 2024. All laboratories perform both direct examination and culture, with fluorescent brighteners being the most commonly used method for direct examination. While 77 % of the participating laboratories routinely identify Mucorales to the species level, with 70 % having adopted Mucorales-specific quantitative PCR, primarily for the diagnosis of invasive fungal infections.

This open-label, non-comparative, 2:1 randomized, phase II trial (NCT03275506) in women with stage IIIC/IV high-grade serous carcinoma (HGSC) for whom upfront complete resection was unachievable assessed whether adding pembrolizumab (200 mg every 3 weeks) to standard-of-care carboplatin plus paclitaxel yielded a complete resection rate (CRR) of at least 50%. Postoperatively patients continued assigned treatment for a maximum of 2 years. Postoperative bevacizumab was optional.

Objective: Breast reconstruction after mastectomy, whether immediate or delayed, is an integral part of the overall management of breast cancer. However, up to 40 % of reconstructed patients are not satisfied with the aesthetic result. The primary objective of the study was to evaluate satisfaction and quality of life according to the reconstruction techniques used in our center.

Introduction And Hypothesis: In order to improve the knowledge POP physiopathology and POP repair, a generic biomechanical model of the female pelvic system has been developed. In the literature, no study has currently evaluated apical prolapse repair by posterior sacrospinous ligament fixation using a generic model nor a patient-specific model that personalize the management of POP and predict surgical outcomes based on the patient's pre-operative Magnetic Resonance Imaging. The aim of our study was to analyze the influence of a right and/or left sacrospinous ligament fixation and the distance between the anchorage area and the ischial spine on the pelvic organ mobility using a generic and a patient-specific Finite Element model (FEM) of the female pelvic system during posterior sacrospinous ligament fixation (SSF).

Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt (TIPS) is an established procedure for the complications of portal hypertension, such as variceal bleeding, refractory ascites and hepatic hydrothorax. We report an original case of a renal transplant patient successfully treated with TIPS for portal hypertension due to sinusoidal obstructive syndrome (SOS) induced by azathioprine (AZA). By reporting this case, we wish to draw the attention of healthcare professionals managing organ transplant patients, especially nephrologists, to the possible occurrence of liver toxicity due to AZA, and to emphasize the role of TIPS as an effective therapeutic option for portal hypertension-related complications.

Combining drugs could be an effective option for treating multirefractory ITP, that is, patients not responding to rituximab, thrombopoietin receptor agonists (TPO-RA) and splenectomy. We conducted a retrospective, multicenter, observational study including multirefractory ITP patients who received a combination of a TPO-RA and an immunosuppressive drug. We included 39 patients (67% women, median age 59 years [range 21-96]), with a median ITP duration of 57 months [3-393] and a median platelet count at initiation of 10 × 10 /L [1-35].

Genetic diagnosis of familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) remains unexplained in 30 to 70% of patients after exclusion of monogenic disease. There is now a growing evidence that a polygenic burden significantly modulates LDL-cholesterol (LDL-c) concentrations. Several LDL-c polygenic risk scores (PRS) have been set up.

Objectives: Ectopic pregnancies are still the first mortality cause of the first semestre of pregnancy. They are much more frequent in IVF (2-5%) than in the standard population (1-2%). The aim of this study was to compare the rate of ectopic pregnancies following a fresh embryo transfer done whether at an clived embryo stage (day 2 or 3 of the embryo development) or at a blastocyst stage (day 5 or 6 of the embryo development).

Background: The alfapump is an implantable class III medical device that pumps ascitic fluid from the peritoneal space to the urinary bladder from where it is excreted. The pump reduces or abrogates the need for repeated paracentesis in patients with recurrent or refractory ascites.
Aims: To improve outcomes for alfapump implantation and pre- and post-implant patient management in both clinical trial and real-world settings by development of consensus recommendations.

Background: There are limited treatment options for ovarian cancer patients with early relapse after platinum chemotherapy. In preclinical studies, we previously demonstrated the promising activity of ABT-737, a Bcl-2/Bcl-x anti-apoptotic protein inhibitor, in chemo-resistant ovarian cancer cells and tumors, suggesting its potential activity in platinum-resistant patients.
Methods: We conducted a prospective multicenter single-arm phase II study to assess the efficacy of Navitoclax (orally available ABT-737 analogue) monotherapy in 46 heavily pretreated (2-12 lines, median = 4) patients with high-grade serous platinum-resistant ovarian tumors.

Objectives: To evaluate Demelin's maneuver for arm entrapment's dystocia during vaginal breech deliveries after failure of the usual Lovset maneuver.
Methods: We led a retrospective cohort study in two French maternities. Between January 2013 and June 2020, we included all vaginal breech deliveries of live newborns after 32 weeks of gestation requiring Demelin's maneuver for persistent arm entrapment despite the Lovset maneuver.

Background & Aims: Hepatic enzymes play a major role in the metabolic elimination of cortisol, and reduced rates of cortisol clearance have been consistently observed in patients with chronic liver disease. It is less clear whether there are concomitant abnormalities of adrenocortical function in patients with cirrhosis. In the present study, we sought to assess adrenocortical function in patients with cirrhosis using measures of free cortisol appearance and elimination rates that are independent of serum concentrations of cortisol binding proteins.

A post hoc analysis of the Diabeloop WP7 multicentre, randomized controlled trial was performed to investigate the efficacy of the Diabeloop Generation-1 (DBLG1) closed-loop system in controlling the hypoglycaemia induced by physical activity (PA) in real-life conditions. Glycaemic outcomes were compared between days with and without PA in 56 patients with type 1 diabetes (T1D) using DBLG1 for 12 weeks. After the patient announces a PA, DBLG1 reduces insulin delivery and, if necessary, calculates the amount of preventive carbohydrates (CHO).

To describe the 10-year outcomes of islet transplantation within the Swiss-French GRAGIL Network, in patients with type 1 diabetes experiencing high glucose variability associated with severe hypoglycemia and/or with functional kidney graft. We conducted a retrospective analysis of all subjects transplanted in the GRAGIL-1c and GARGIL-2 islet transplantation trials and analyzed components of metabolic control, graft function and safety outcomes over the 10-year period of follow-up. Forty-four patients were included between September 2003 and April 2010.
