Background: Although T2 gallbladder cancer (GBC) incidentally diagnosed after cholecystectomy requires additional resection, the surgical approaches are technically difficult due to inflammatory adhesion or fibrosis around the hepatoduodenal ligament and gallbladder bed. In this study, we sought to compare the surgical and oncologic outcomes of open and minimally invasive reoperation for postoperatively diagnosed T2 GBC.
Study Design: Patients who underwent open (n = 110) and laparoscopic (n = 38) reoperation for T2 GBC between November 2004 and October 2022 at five tertiary referral centers were included in this multicenter retrospective cohort study.

Vascular aging refers to a series of processes where the elasticity of blood vessels diminishes, leading to stiffening, and deposition of fat components on the vessel walls, causing inflammation. Cardiovascular diseases, such as stroke and hypertension, play significant roles in morbidity and mortality rates among the elderly population. In this study, the Reactive Hyperemia Index (RHI) was measured to assess vascular endothelial function and aging-induced pathogenesis of vascular diseases in Korean subjects.

Purpose: In this study, we aimed to investigate the clinical feasibility of deep learning (DL)-based reconstruction applied to conventional diffusion-weighted imaging (cDWI) and synthetic diffusion-weighted imaging (sDWI) by comparing the DL reconstructions to cDWIs and sDWIs in patients with various breast malignancies.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 115 patients with biopsy-proven breast malignancies who underwent breast magnetic resonance imaging from July 2022 to June 2023, including cDWI with b-value of 800 s/mm (cDWI) sDWI with b-value of 1500 s/mm (sDWI), DWI using DL-based reconstruction (DL-DWI) with b-value of 800 s/mm, and synthetic DL-DWI with b-value of 1500 s/mm (DL-DWI and sDL-DWI). Two radiologists independently performed the qualitative analyses using a 5-point Likert scale for all DWI sets.

Background: Bone defects are commonly encountered due to accidents, diseases, or aging, and the demand for effective bone regeneration, particularly for dental implants, is increasing in our aging society. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are promising candidates for regenerative therapies; however, obtaining sufficient quantities of these cells for clinical applications remains challenging. DW-MSCs, derived from embryonic stem cells and developed by Daewoong Pharmaceutical, exhibit a robust proliferative capacity even after extensive culture.

Unhealthy diet-related behaviors and poor diet quality during childhood and adolescence are the main factors contributing to noncommunicable diseases such as obesity, dyslipidemia, diabetes, hypertension, and cardiometabolic syndrome. Unhealthy diet-related behaviors can become lifelong habits associated with mental health problems, including depression, anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and substance abuse issues such as smoking, drinking, and other chemical compounds. Children and adolescents are in the developmental stages of brain structure, function, and neurotransmission systems, which can make them more susceptible to substance abuse (tobacco, alcohol, and drugs).
