India's mango productivity is hindered by many factors but more importantly due to limited understanding of the genomic complexities behind regular bearing habit. This study is the first to quantify carbohydrate fractions, protein content, and macro and micronutrient storage pools, their transportation, and contributions to regular 'Totapuri' and alternate bearer 'Bombay Green' mango varieties during the 'off' year. Deep RNA sequencing was used to assess gene expression dynamics between buds and flowers of these varieties.

Department of Environmental Biotechnology, Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU), Near Gujarat International Finance Tec (GIFT)-City, Gandhinagar, 382355, Gujarat, India.

The influence of anthropogenic pollution on the distribution of bacterial diversity, antibiotic-resistant bacteria (ARBs), and antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) was mapped at various geo-tagged sites of Mini River, Vadodara, Gujarat, India. The high-throughput 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing analysis revealed a higher relative abundance of Planctomycetota at the polluted sites, compared to the pristine site. Moreover, the relative abundance of Actinobacteriota increased, whereas Chloroflexi decreased in the water samples of polluted sites than the pristine site.

Aims: Maternal hypercholesterolemia (MHC) is a pathological condition that may cause atherosclerosis in the adulthood of the offspring. The study aims to identify the role of in-utero programming by the placenta in atherogenesis and associated liver pathology in offspring.

Main Methods: Female New Zealand white rabbits with normal lipid profiles were fed a 0.

Maternal hypercholesterolemia (MHC) during pregnancy is associated with the risk of developing aortic lesions in fetuses. There is also a possibility of faster progression of atherosclerosis in offspring born to hypercholesterolemic mothers (HCM) during their adulthood. We investigated whether elevated maternal cholesterol levels during pregnancy influence the lipid levels in offspring.

Development of paper-based DNA sensor for detection of O. tsutsugamushi using sustainable GQDs@AuNPs nanocomposite.

Chemosphere

August 2022

Amity Center of Nanotechnology, Amity University, Haryana, 122413, India; Department of Biotechnology, Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mullana, Ambala, 134003, India. Electronic address:

The graphene quantum dots (GQDs) was synthesized using potato starch and water by hydrothermal method and further used for reduction of tetracholoroauric acid to form graphene quantum dots-gold (GQDs@AuNPs) nanocomposite. The GQDs/GQDs@AuNPs were analyzed using FTIR, UV-Vis, Flourometry and HR-TEM. The synthesized GQDs@AuNPs were further used for fabrication of cost-effective screen-printed paper electrode (SPPE) based DNA sensor for the detection of O.
