To explore the effectiveness, safety and cost between urinary follicle stimulating hormone (uFSH) and recombinant follicle stimulating hormone (rFSH) in controlled ovarian stimulation (COS) in China. Data were collected from 16 reproductive centers in China covering oocytes collection time from May 1, 2015 to June 30, 2018. Eligible patients were over 18 years old, adopting COS with uFSH (uFSH group) or rFSH (rFSH group) as start gonadotropins (Gn), and using in vitro fertilization (IVF) and (or) intracytoplasmic sperm injection for fertilisation, excluding frozen embryo recovery cycle.

Background: To investigate the current situation of neonatal care resources (NCR), newborn mortality rates (NMR), regional differences and existing challenges in China.

Methods: By using a self-designed questionnaire form and the cross-sectional method, we conducted a survey of all hospitals equipped with neonatal facilities in China from March 2019 to March 2020 with respect to the level and nature of these hospitals, the number of newborn beds and NICU beds, the number of neonatal pediatricians, and the development of therapeutic techniques. The data about the newborn births and deaths were retrieved from the annual statistics of the health commissions of the related provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities.

Anoctamin 5 (ANO5) is a member of the Anoctamin (ANO) family of calcium-activated chloride channels. Although ANO5 expression is upregulated in various cancers, its role in osteosarcoma remains largely unknown. In this study, bioinformatics analysis, western blot, and immunohistochemical staining revealed that ANO5 was upregulated in osteosarcoma cell lines and osteosarcoma tissues, and ANO5 expression was positively associated with tumor size, tumor grade, and metastasis.

Background: Variants identified through parent-child trio-WES yield up to 28-55% positive diagnostic rate across a variety of Mendelian disorders, there remain numerous patients who do not receive a genetic diagnosis. Studies showed that some aberrant splicing variants, which are either not readily detectable by WES or could be miss-interpreted by regular detecting pipelines, are highly relevant to human diseases.

The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of the histone H3K9 demethylase inhibitor, IOX1, on the mechanism of hepatic fibrosis in TGF-β-induced human hepatic stellate LX-2 cells. Cellular proliferation, apoptosis, histone H3K9 dimethylation (H3K9me2), protein expression of extracellular matrix (ECM)-related proteins α-smooth muscle actin (SMA), type I collagen (Col I), MMP-1 and TIMP-1 were measured. H3K9me2 levels in the promoter region of ECM-related genes were detected by real-time cell analysis (RTCA), flow cytometry, western blotting and chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) in LX-2 cells.
