Innovative modified T-shape oncoplastic technique for early-stage breast cancer: multicenter retrospective study.

Inadequate tissue volume at the lower pole of the breast following tumor excision can compromise aesthetic outcomes when employing the conventional inverted-T reconstruction technique. With the aim of reducing postoperative deformities, we have refined this technique. A total of 104 patients underwent the T technique, while 32 underwent the modified T technique and 72 underwent the traditional T technique.

Ethanolic extract of Pereskia aculeata induces Anti-Inflammatory Responses through P38/MK2/TTP-mediated signaling pathway.

Pereskia aculeata Miller, a member of the Cactaceae family, is a plant with pharmacological potential due to its containing compounds with various biological activities, which include anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer and analgesic activities. In this study, we evaluated the anti-inflammatory effects of an ethanolic extract of P. aculeata Miller (EEPA) and the signalling pathways by which it exerts these effects.

Effects of Miller Petroleum Ether Extract on Complete Freund's Adjuvant-Induced Rheumatoid Arthritis in Rats and its Potential Molecular Mechanisms.

To investigate the therapeutic effect of petroleum ether extract of Miller (PEEP) on rheumatoid arthritis (RA). : The Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) was used to detect cell activity and select the optimal concentration of the extract; the effective site was screened by nitric oxide (NO) colorimetric method and Q-PCR method; the expression of p38, p-p38, p-MK2, and Tristetraprolin (TTP) in RAW 264.7 cells were detected by Western blot.

An Innovative Breast-Conserving Oncoplastic Technique for Treating Small to Medium Volume Breasts With a Tumor in the Lower Quadrant: The Folding Flap Technique.

Background: Here, we describe an innovative oncoplastic technique for small to medium volume breasts with a tumor in the lower quadrant and this technique could provide sufficient tissue to avoid visible defects after tumor removal and help reshape the natural shape of the breast.

Methods: A detailed procedure for the folding flap technique is described step by step. Then, the results of a retrospective analysis of patients treated using this technique, including complications and disease recurrence rate, between January 2017 and November 2021 are reported.

Background: Insufficient glandular tissue in the lower quadrant of the breast is the main source of difficulty in repairing defects after oncoplastic surgery. Background: Female breast cancer (FBC) is a malignancy involving multiple risk factors and has imposed heavy disease burden on women. We aim to analyze the secular trends of mortality rate of FBC according to its major risk factors.

Methods: Death data of FBC at the global, regional, and national levels were retrieved from the online database of Global Burden of Disease study 2017.

Five-mRNA Signature for the Prognosis of Breast Cancer Based on the ceRNA Network.

Background: The purpose of this study was to investigate the regulatory mechanisms of ceRNAs in breast cancer (BC) and construct a new five-mRNA prognostic signature.

Methods: The ceRNA network was constructed by different RNAs screened by the edgeR package. The BC prognostic signature was built based on the Cox regression analysis.

Feasibility and efficiency of double-agent versus single-agent concurrent chemoradiotherapy in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

Purpose: Concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) is the mainstay of treatment for nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) patients. It remains unclear whether double-agent CCRT (d-CCRT) is more effective than single-agent CCRT (s-CCRT). In this study, we compared the treatment efficiency and toxicity of d-CCRT with s-CCRT in NPC patients.

Multidisciplinary team for the diagnosis and treatment of 2 cases of primary intestinal yolk sac tumor.

Extragonadal primary yolk sac tumor of the intestinal tract origin is exceedingly rare. Through a multiple disciplinary team, the diagnosis and treatment of primary intestinal yolk sac tumor were further defined. We report 2 such cases with detailed histologic and immunohistochemical analysis.

Antibiotics are not beneficial in the management of category III prostatitis: a meta analysis.

Purpose: To determine whether antibiotics are beneficial in the management of category III prostatitis.

Materials And Methods: The PubMed, Medline and Embase databases were searched for all published documents from January 1, 1965 to September 1, 2012 without language restriction. The randomized controlled trials that mentioned comparable groups of antibiotics treatment versus placebo or other control group for patients with category III prostatitis were included based on specific criteria.
