Backgrounds: Long nonconding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been found to be a vital regulatory factor in the development process of human cancer, and could regarded as diagnostic or prognostic biomarkers for human cancers. Here, we aim to confirm the expression and molecular mechanism of RP11-171K16.5 (lnc171) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

The expression level of retinol-binding protein 4 (RBP4) protein is closely related to liver damage and plays an important role in the diagnosis and prognosis of cancer. However, the preparation of anti-RBP4 mAb or exploration on the application of anti-RBP4 mAb has not been reported thus far. In the present study, we constructed a pET30a-RBP4 recombinant vector, used E.

Environmental exposure to triclosan and polycystic ovary syndrome: a cross-sectional study in China.

BMJ Open

October 2018

Ministry of Education-Shanghai Key Laboratory of Children's Environmental Health, Xinhua Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Shanghai, China.

Objectives: Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common endocrinopathy of women at reproductive age. Although the aetiology of PCOS remains unclear, potential effects of environmental endocrine-disrupting compounds on the development of PCOS have drawn increasing attention. The aim of the current study was to examine the association between triclosan (TCS) and PCOS, and explore possible mechanisms on how TCS may contribute to the development of clinical manifestations of PCOS.

Background: inhibition of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) has been a effective treatment for Alzheimer's disease (AD). Octohydroaminoacridine, a new AChE inhibitor, is a potential treatment for AD.

Method: we conducted a multicenter, randomised, double blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group Phase II clinical trial to investigate the effects of octohydroaminoacridine in patients with mild-to-moderate AD.

Background: Memantine hydrochloride is a N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) antagonist that may be useful in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.

Aim: Compare the efficacy and safety of generic memantine hydrochloride produced in China to that of the imported proprietary version of the medication (Ebixa) in the treatment of moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease (AD).

Methods: In this multicenter, double-blind randomized controlled trial 229 patients with moderate to severe AD were randomly assigned to a 16-week trial of either the generic preparation or the proprietary preparation of memantine hydrochloride.

Objective: To analyze genetic mutation associated with drug resistance in the reverse transcriptase (RT) domain of HBV from 40 patients with chronic hepatitis B, and to construct mutant RT gene recombinant vectors for drug-resistant phenotypic analysis.

Methods: HBV DNA was extracted from sera of the 40 patients receiving anti-HBV nucleot (5) ide analogue. The complete RT domain-encoding gene was amplified by nested PCR, and then cloned into pGEM-T-easy vector.
