One of the most challenging issues is that there is no fine line between preconditioning stimuli and lethal stimuli.

Coexistence of primary pulmonary meningioma and metastatic papillary renal cell carcinoma of the lung: A rare case report with review of the literature.

Rationale: Primary pulmonary meningioma (PPM) is extremely rare tumor and only a few reports have been reported to date. PPM may be overlooked when it coexists with other types of tumors in the lung. It is essential to have a knowledge of the clinicopathological features of PPM and to recognize this rare coexistence.

Background: Although publications have been increasing rapidly, the research quality has yet to improve in the field of critical care medicine (CCM) in China. This study aimed at investigating the current status of and the influential factors for impactful publications in CCM research by Chinese authors.

Methods: Publications by authors with the affiliation of critical care medicine department or intensive care unit (CCM/ICU) in Chinese as well as American hospitals from 2001 to 2020 were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database for this bibliometric analysis.

Tumors of the digestive system have always received attention, and their occurrence and development are regulated by various mechanisms such as inflammation and immunity, glucose and lipid metabolism, and tumor angiogenesis. Complement Clq/TNF-related protein 6 (CTRP6) is a member of the CTRP family; it is widely expressed in various tissues and cell types, and plays a biological role in a number of mechanisms, such as glucose and lipid metabolism and inflammation. Recent studies have revealed the tumor-promoting effect of CTRP6 in gastric cancer, liver cancer, colorectal cancer and other gastrointestinal tumors, but, to the best of our knowledge, there has been no systematic discussion on the tumor-promoting mechanism of CTRP6.

Development and validation of a nomogram involving immunohistochemical markers for prediction of recurrence in early low-risk endometrial cancer.

Background: The purpose of this study was to construct a nomogram based on classical parameters and immunohistochemical markers to predict the recurrence of early low-risk endometrial cancer patients.

Methods: A total of 998 patients with early low-risk endometrial cancer who underwent primary surgical treatment were enrolled (668 in the training cohort, 330 in the validation cohort). Prognostic factors identified by univariate and multivariate analysis in the training cohort were used to construct the nomogram.

Here, we report a rare case of ectopic adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH)-secreting pituitary adenoma in the clival region.

Background: Synovial sarcoma is an uncommon soft tissue tumor of soft tissue, characterized by a specific SS18 rearrangement. It generally manifests as a lesion composed of monomorphic spindle cells and sometimes shows variable epithelial differentiation. Epithelial-type synovial sarcoma is rare, and synovial sarcoma with overwhelming neuroendocrine differentiation has not been reported previously.
