Objective: Despite not showing substantial stenosis of coronary arteries, Myocardial Infarction with Non-Obstructive Coronary Arteries (MINOCA) presents with myocardial ischemia injury, thus having a grave prognosis and a high risk of long-term complications. This necessitates increased clinical attention and exploration of its root causes to prevent a similar crisis.

Methods: Research on MINOCA is limited, especially in terms of its clinical attributes, long-term outlook, risk stratification, and prognosis-linked cardiometabolic risk factors.

In this editorial, we review the article published in 2019, 11: 1031-1042. We specifically focus on the occurrence, clinical characteristics, and risk factors of fluoropyrimidine drug-related cardiotoxicity in patients with gastrointestinal tumors. Despite significant advancements in diagnostic and therapeutic techniques that have reduced mortality rates associated with digestive system tumors, the incidence and mortality rates of treatment-related cardiotoxicity have been increasing, severely impacting the survival and prognosis of cancer patients.

Background: Noninvasive energy-based device (NI-EBD) aesthetic procedures has recently gained widespread usage for treating various skin conditions, enhancing skin texture and performing rejuvenation-related procedures. However, practically all NI-EBD procedures result in variable degrees of damage to the skin barrier, inducing pathological and physiological processes such as oxidative stress and inflammation, and only a small percentage of individuals possess the innate ability to restore it.

This study is aimed at investigating the plasma lipid-lowering mechanisms of the fucoidan from Aresch by detecting the levels of hepatic genes that are involved in lipid metabolism.

The management of a duodenal fistula involving the right hepatic duct: a rare case report.

The formation of an internal fistula between the biliary system and the gastrointestinal tract is a rare condition with various etiologies, predominantly associated with recurrent chronic inflammation of the biliary system and tumors. Patients with this condition may lack specific clinical manifestations, presenting with symptoms such as abdominal pain, fever, jaundice, or may show no clinical signs at all. Common types of internal fistulas include cholecystoduodenal fistula, cholecystocolonic fistula, and choledochoduodenal fistula.

Purpose: Eukaryotic translation elongation factor 1α2 (eEF1A2) promotes tumour progression in various cancers. We performed a pan-cancer analysis of eEF1A2 and explored its role in thyroid carcinoma (THCA).

Methods: Databases from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), the University of Alabama at Birmingham Cancer data analysis Portal (UALCAN), and the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) were used to investigate the differential expression of eEF1A2 in pan-cancer.

Objective: In recent decades, thyroid cancer (TC) has exhibited a rising incidence pattern. Elevated levels of the transcription factor FOXP4 have been strongly linked to the progression of diverse tumors; nevertheless, its specific role in thyroid cancer remains underexplored. The primary objective of this study was to elucidate the functions of FOXP4 and its associated target gene, FBXW7, in the context of thyroid cancer.

Introduction: Follicular dendritic cell sarcoma (FDCS) is a rare tumor entity with a wide range of anatomical sites and strong heterogeneity in morphology and immunohistochemistry, making it highly susceptible to misdiagnosis. Background: Chinese topography appears a three-rung ladder-like distribution of decreasing elevation from northwest to southeast, which is divided by two sloping edges. Previous studies have reported that prevalence of thyroid diseases differed by altitude, and geographical factors were associated with thyroid disorders. To explore the association between three-rung ladder-like regions and thyroid disorders according to unique Chinese topographic features, we conducted an epidemiological cross-sectional study from 2015-2017 that covered all 31 mainland Chinese provinces.

Background: Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs) are the most common mesenchymal tumors of the gastrointestinal tract with a broad morphological spectrum. Although epithelioid GISTs account for 20% of GISTs, their morphological features may pose a diagnostic pitfall for pathologists due to their morphological similarities to poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma and lymphoma.

Case Presentation: Herein, we report a 65-year-old male patient with gastric epithelioid GIST misdiagnosed as adenocarcinoma for four years.

Body composition phase angle: A potential predictor of vitamin D status in early pregnancy.

Phase angle and vitamin D can reflect the state of the body cells, and the two may interact with each other. Therefore, this study was conducted to find out the relationship between PA and vitamin D. Taking women in early pregnancy as our study subjects, we found that PA had a positive effect on vitamin D levels.

Down syndrome child with multiple heart diseases: A case report.

Background: Down syndrome, also known as trisomy 21 syndrome, is commonly associated with congenital heart disease, and can often result in early formation of pulmonary hypertension. The development of pulmonary hypertension can result from factors such as intracardiac and macrovascular shunts, and upper airway obstruction or hypoplasia of lung tissue. Individuals with Down syndrome and congenital heart disease have a significantly lower average life expectancy, with surgical intervention being the most viable treatment option to improve longevity.
