The photocatalytic proficiency of BiTiO is hindered by its inadequate solar energy harnessing capability and swift electron-hole recombination dynamics. In the investigation, the study innovated Bi metal oxide heterostructures by embedding Bi nanoparticle-modified BiTiO composites, systematically synthesizing a suite of Bi/BT materials through meticulous tuning of the Bi and Ti precursor ratios. Notably, the Bi/BT-2 series was examined for its photocatalytic performance in tetracycline (TC) degradation.

The construction of supercapacitor electrode materials with exceptional performance is crucial to the commercialisation of flexible supercapacitors. Here, a novel in-situ precipitation technique was applied for constructing iron(II)-phthalocyanine (FePc) based nanocomposite as the electrode material in quasi-solid-state flexible supercapacitors. The highly redox-active FePc nanostructures were grown in the multi-walled-CNTs (MWCNTs) networks, which shows convenient electron/electrolyte ion transport pathways along with outstanding structural stability, leading to high energy storage and long cycling life.

Different chemical solutions can significantly change the contact angle (CA) of soil, but few studies have studied the change rule and action mechanism of the CA from the mineral composition of soil essence. In unsaturated soil mechanics, the CA is an important parameter to calculate the wet suction between soil particles in unsaturated soil. When the chemical composition of the soil pore liquid changes, the CA will also change, which will affect the wet suction and other parameters, thus changing the macroscopic mechanical properties of the soil.

The matrix material used in this paper was low-density polyethene (LDPE), and the added particles selected were silicon oxide (SiO) particles and montmorillonite (MMT) particles. The sizes of the SiO particles were 1 µm, 30 nm, and 100 nm, respectively; three kinds of SiO/MMT/LDPE multi-component composites were prepared based on MMT/LDPE composites doped with MMT particles. The effect of the SiO particle size on the crystallization behavior and space charge properties of SiO/MMT/LDPE composites was studied.

Methods: Our approach commenced with a comprehensive user experience analysis to ascertain the needs of elderly users regarding home blood glucose meters.

Electroencephalogram (EEG) motor imagery (MI) classification refers to the use of EEG signals to identify and classify subjects' motor imagery activities; this task has received increasing attention with the development of brain-computer interfaces (BCIs). However, the collection of EEG data is usually time-consuming and labor-intensive, which makes it difficult to obtain sufficient labeled data from the new subject to train a new model. Moreover, the EEG signals of different individuals exhibit significant differences, leading to a significant drop in the performance of a model trained on the existing subjects when directly classifying EEG signals acquired from new subjects.

This paper is intended to investigate the dynamics of heterogeneous Cournot duopoly games, where the first player adopts identical gradient adjustment mechanisms but the second player is endowed with distinct rationality levels. Based on tools of symbolic computations, we introduce a new approach and use it to establish rigorous conditions of the local stability for these models. We analytically investigate the bifurcations and prove that the period-doubling bifurcation is the only possible bifurcation that may occur for all the considered models.

In this study, a high-molecular-weight Pueraria lobata polysaccharide (PLP) with a molecular weight of 273.54 kDa was degraded by ultrasound, and the ultrasonic degradation kinetics, structural characteristics and hepatoprotective activity of ultrasonic degraded PLP fractions (PLPs) were evaluated. The results showed that the ultrasonic treatment significantly reduced the Mw and particle size of PLP, and the kinetic equation of ultrasonic degradation of PLP followed to the midpoint fracture model (the fist-order model).

Recently, the reaction speed and cycle performance of hexavalent chromium reduction over microsized zero-valent iron (ZVI) with an Fe core and iron oxide (FeO) shell structure have been improved by activating the Fe-core electrons through electromagnetic coupling between Fe-core electrons and charges (hexavalent chromium in solution, double-charge layers of the ZVI/solution interface). Herein, the abovementioned electromagnetic coupling was greatly increased by adding salt (CHCOONa, NaCl, NaNO, and NaSO) in the hexavalent chromium solution to increase the charge response. Adding salt greatly improved the reaction speed and cycle performance of hexavalent chromium reduction.

The southern tropical coastal areas of China are high-temperature and high-humidity salt environments, which hinder the durability and service life of ordinary asphalt pavement. To enhance the durability of asphalt pavement in these areas, modified bagasse fiber combined with nano-TiO was used to improve the corrosion resistance of asphalt pavement in high-temperature and high-humidity salt environments. The micro-morphology, high-temperature oil absorption, high-temperature heat resistance, and hygroscopicity of bagasse fiber modified using three silane coupling agents combined with NaOH were compared, and the best silane coupling agent/NaOH modification scheme for bagasse fiber was found.
