The formation of ice due to global climate change poses challenges across multiple industries. Traditional anti-icing technologies often suffer from low efficiency, high energy consumption, and environmental pollution. Photothermal and hydrophobic surfaces with nano-micro structures (PHS-NMSs) offer innovative solutions to these challenges due to their exceptional optical absorption, heat conversion capabilities, and unique surface water hydrophobic characteristics.

Photoaging is a major cause of skin ageing. Ultraviolet radiation is a key factor in this process, as it can increase the expression of inflammatory factors, promote an inflammatory response, and disrupt the balance between extracellular matrix (ECM) synthesis and degradation, resulting in impaired skin barrier function and increased skin sensitivity. Therefore, anti-inflammation and ECM remodelling are important directions in skin anti-aging research.

Electronic address:

Immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) therapy has transformed cancer treatment, yet many patients fail to respond. Employing single-cell multiomics, we unveil T cell dynamics influencing ICB response across 480 pan-cancer and 27 normal tissue samples. We identify four immunotherapy response-associated T cells (IRATs) linked to responsiveness or resistance and analyze their pseudotemporal patterns, regulatory mechanisms, and T cell receptor clonal expansion profiles specific to each response.

Interpretable Multimodal Fusion Model for Bridged Histology and Genomics Survival Prediction in Pan-Cancer.

Adv Sci (Weinh)

March 2025

Department of General Surgery (Department of Colorectal Surgery), The Sixth Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, 510655, China.

Understanding the prognosis of cancer patients is crucial for enabling precise diagnosis and treatment by clinical practitioners. Multimodal fusion models based on artificial intelligence (AI) offer a comprehensive depiction of the tumor heterogeneity landscape, facilitating more accurate predictions of cancer patient prognosis. However, in the real-world, the lack of complete multimodal data from patients often hinders the practical clinical utility of such models.

Injectable celastrol-loading emulsion hydrogel for immunotherapy of low-immunogenic cancer.

J Nanobiotechnology

March 2025

Department of Medical Oncology, The First Affiliated Hospital, School of Medicine, Zhejiang University, #79 Qingchun Road, Hangzhou, 310003, China.

Immunotherapy, exemplified by immune checkpoint blockade (ICB), has been extensively employed in antitumor treatments. Nevertheless, its efficacy in addressing low-immunogenic tumors has not yielded satisfactory results, primarily due to the depletion and inadequate infiltration of effector T cells within the tumor microenvironment (TME). Here, we construct an injectable water-in-oil emulsion hydrogel to load clinically used Celastrol (Gel@Cel), which addresses the limitations of Cel's hydrophobicity.

This paper examined the reliability of complex PCB assemblies under random vibration and temperature cycling, which are two primary causes of assembly failure. A combination of finite element simulation and environmental testing was employed to investigate the effects of different reinforcement methods and solder joint morphology on assembly reliability. The linear accumulation of damage was utilized to predict assembly failure, and the predicted failure damage was compared with the damage extracted post-testing to validate the simulation analysis.

Artificial intelligence-based model to predict recurrence after local excision in T1 rectal cancer.

Eur J Surg Oncol

February 2025

Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery, Department of General Surgery, Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital, Guangdong Academy of Medical Sciences, Southern Medical University, Guangzhou, 510000, China. Electronic address:

Background: According to current guideline, patients with resected specimens showing high-risk features are recommended additional surgery after local excision (LE) of T1 colorectal cancer, despite the low incidence of recurrence. However, surgical resection in patients with low rectal cancer (RC) is challenging and may compromise anal function, leading to a low quality of life. To reduce unnecessary surgical resection in these patients, we used artificial intelligence (AI) to develop and validate a prediction model for the risk of recurrence after LE.

Solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs) have attracted much attention due to their excellent flexibility, strong interfacial adhesion and good processibility. However, the incompatibility at the electrode/electrolyte interface often results in increased impedance and rapid capacity attenuation. In this work, dual-salt composite solid electrolytes (CSEs) with an integrated electrolyte/cathode structure are prepared by in-situ ultraviolet (UV) photopolymerization.

Cold seeps are hotspots of biodiversity. However, the quantification of the microbial diversity, particularly that of microeukaryotes, remains scarce and little is known about the active groups. In this study we investigated the diversity and activity of prokaryotes and microeukaryotes in the Haima cold seep sediments in the northern South China Sea using both DNA (whole community) and RNA (active community) signatures.
