In the current study, we proposed to explore the potential role and related signaling pathways of Homobox A10 (HOXA10) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). HOXA10 levels in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) and lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC) were detected by qRT-PCR and the expression of HOXA10 was significantly up-regulated in the NSCLC tissue of all 55 pairs (P = 0.037).

Objective: To investigate the feasibility and clinical significance of high resolution melting(HRM) curve analysis to detect SLC4A1 gene D38A and K56E mutations in the patients with hereditary spherocytosis(HS).
Methods: Peripheral blood was collected from 23 cases of HS for routine tests and their genomic DNA was extracted by routine technique. Specific primers of mutation sites D38A and K56E of SLC4A1 gene were designed.

The aim of the present study was to investigate the relationship between the rs1129555 single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) and several environment factors with blood lipid profiles in the Guangxi Maonan and Han populations. Purpose: This prospective multicentric study aimed to establish a new clinical T staging standard for nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) based on intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT).
Methods And Materials: Between January 2006 and December 2009, four hundred and ninety-two NPC patients undergoing IMRT were staged according to the seventh edition of the UICC/AJCC staging system. The Kaplan-Meier method was used to calculate survival rates, and the log-rank test was used to compare survival differences.

Objective: The genome-wide association approach was employed to explore the association between single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and TP53 expression in the HBV-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) of Chinese patients in Guangxi.
Methods: 403 HBV-related HCC patients were recruited into this study and classified according to the TP53 expression in the cancer by immunohistochemistry. DNA was extracted from the cancer and genotyped with the Human ExomeBeadChip 12v1-1 system; quality control and principal-component analysis (PCA) were applied for data analysis.
