This paper reported microscopic characters of Lysimachia decurrens. The results showed that secretory canals were scattered in the cortex, pericycle fibres arrayed annularly and pith was large with many secreory canals in the transverse section of the stem. It also showed radiate cuticula grains and round oil cells were found in the upper epidermis cells of leaf, which was bifacial and contained two midrib vascular bundles, one much bigger than the other.

The effects of polysaccharide of polygala aureocauda on the immunity functions of the normal mouse were researched by the tests of clearing away carbon granules, hemolysin antibodies production and lymphocyte transformation. The results showed that the polysaccharide of polygala aureocauda Dunn. (PADTP) could strengthen the phagocytosis of the single nucleus phagocytes, promote the production of the antibodies, and raise the transformable rate of the lympocytes.

The effect of different processing conditions on contents of myrisiticin, volatile oil and fatty lipid in Semen Myristicae was studied by orthogonal design. The result shows that these processing conditions could not influence the contents of myrisiticin, volatile oil and fatty lipid in the processed products of Semen Myristicae, suggesting that processing does not necessarily lower toxicity.

Artensunate transdermal preparation at 5, 10, or 15 mg/kg, bid, for 3 days applied locally on the shaved skin of the back of monkeys showed reliable therapeutic effects on Plasmodium cynomolgi, but recrudescence of the parasites was not controlled. If some azone was added in the artesunate transdermal preparation at the dosage of 5 mg/kg, bid, for 3 days, the parasitemia of Plasmodium cynomolgi could be cleared and recrudescence prevented, thus, the antimalarial effects was enhanced.
