Multicentric reticulohistiocytosis (MRH) is a rare disease with poorly defined therapeutic strategies. Here, we report the case of a patient with eosinophilic gastroenteritis who developed MRH after 5 years. The patient presented with disabling and rapidly progressive polyarthralgia, eosinophilic gastroenteritis, and resistance to first-line therapies.

A High-Throughput Sequencing Data-Based Classifier Reveals the Metabolic Heterogeneity of Hepatocellular Carcinoma.

Metabolic heterogeneity plays a key role in poor outcomes in malignant tumors, but its role in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains largely unknown. In the present study, we aim to disentangle the metabolic heterogeneity features of HCC by developing a classification system based on metabolism pathway activities in high-throughput sequencing datasets. As a result, HCC samples were classified into two distinct clusters: cluster 1 showed high levels of glycolysis and pentose phosphate pathway activity, while cluster 2 exhibited high fatty acid oxidation and glutaminolysis status.

Electroacupuncture alleviates pain after total knee arthroplasty through regulating neuroplasticity: A resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging study.

Introduction: We aimed to evaluate the efficacy of electroacupuncture in relieving acute pain after total knee arthroplasty (TKA) and related mechanism.

Methods: In this randomized, single-blind, and sham-acupuncture controlled study. Forty patients with postoperative acute pain were recruited and randomly divided electroacupuncture group (n = 20) and sham-acupuncture group (n = 20) from November 2020 to October 2021.

Objective: As a metabolic disease, one important feature of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the disturbance of the intestinal flora. Spleen-strengthening and liver-draining formula (SLF) is a formula formed according to the theory of "One Qi Circulation" (Qing Dynasty, 1749) of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), which has shown significant therapeutic effect in patients with NAFLD in a preliminary clinical observation. In this study, we aim to explore the mechanism of SLF against NAFLD, especially its effect on glucolipid metabolism, from the perspective of intestinal flora.

[Traditional Chinese medicine therapy for rheumatoid arthritis: a review].

Rheumatoid arthritis(RA) is an autoimmune disease that seriously affects the physical and mental health of patients, but its pathogenesis is still unclear.
