Objective: To compare the differences in the clinical effect on post-stroke hand spasm among the combined treatment of penetrating acupuncture and kinesiotherapy, the simple application of penetrating acupuncture and the simple application of kinesiotherapy.
Methods: A total of 105 patients with post-stroke hand spasm were randomized into a penetrating acupuncture group, a kinesiotherapy group and a combined treatment group, 35 cases in each one, of which, 2 cases were dropped out in either the combined treatment group and the penetrating acupuncture group, and 1 case dropped out in the kinesiotherapy group. Back-shu points were firstly discussed in (the ), and various location methods of back- points had been proposed by acupuncturists until conclusive method was made in dynasty. In this paper, the different location methods of back- points were reviewed; based on this, the reasons of divergences among each theory on location methods were discussed, and the theoretical background and reference of the original establishment of back- points were further explored. Therefore, it was proposed that the standardized location of back- points should be just considered as the center of possible distribution range, and adjustment should be made during clinical application according to the variability of individual combined with finger pressing.

Objective: To observe the impacts on post-stroke spastic hemiplegia treated with temporal three-needle therapy, spastic three-needle therapy, and rehabilitative therapy as well as combined application.
Methods: One hundred cases were randomized into a Jin's three-needle group (35 cases), a rehabilitation group (33 cases) and a combined therapy group (32 cases). Beside the basic treatment, the acupuncture therapy of temporal three-needle and spastic three-needle techniques, rehabilitation training, and the combined therapy of acupuncture and rehabilitation were applied in the Jin's three-needle group, the rehabilitation group and the combined therapy group, respectively.
