Currently, the development of polyvalent ions battery systems are still restricted by lacking suitable cathode materials with high energy density and long cycle life attributing to sluggish kinetic mechanism and of polyvalent ions. Herein, an effective inter-layer scaling strategy is proposed by using a simple hydrothermal method. The super layer spacing VS (∼1 nm) cathode dramatically improves electrochemical performance of zinc-ion batteries (ZIBs) and magnesium/lithium hybrid ion batteries (MLIBs).

In addition, eight known sorbicillinoids () were also obtained. The new compound structures were established using NMR, HRESIMS spectra, and reported spectroscopic data.

Based on the frailty Cox model, this paper analyzes CLHLS data from 2008 to 2017/2018 to examine the impact of the social old-age insurance and the medical insurance on the mortality risk of the elderly based on the age structures, urban/rural areas and regions. The results reveal the heterogeneous impact as follows. In terms of the age structures, the social old-age insurance significantly reduces the mortality risk of the elderly aged below 80, but has no significant impact on the elderly aged 80 and above, whereas the medical insurance significantly reduces the mortality risk of the elderly aged 80 and above, but has no significant impact on the elderly aged below 80.

China is the largest rice-producing country, but the genomic landscape of rice diversity has not yet been clarified. In this study, we re-sequence 1070 rice varieties collected from China (400) and other regions in Asia (670). The accumulation of dissolved and colloidal substances (DCS) in the increasingly closed paper circulating water system can seriously lower the productivity and safety of papermaking machines, and it has been a challenge to develop an adsorbent with low cost, high adsorption efficiency and large adsorption capacity for DCS removal. In this study, cationic lignocellulose nanofibers (CLCNF) were obtained by cationic modification of agricultural waste bagasse in deep eutectic solvents (DES) followed by mechanical defibrillation, and then CLCNF were employed as an adsorbent for DCS model contaminant polygalacturonic acid (PGA) removal. CLCNF was characterized by transmission electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared, elemental analysis, X-ray diffraction, and thermogravimetric analysis.

The tadalafil-like compounds have appeared recently as adulterants in drinks and healthcare dietary supplements sourced from medicinal and edible food, which may cause illness and even death. In this work, the rationality of haptens was explored by computational chemistry and molecular simulation theories such as frontier molecular orbital (FMO)-based softness (S), three-dimensional (3D) structure, surface electrostatic potential (ESP), and lipophilic potential (LP). An antiserum from hapten H5 with the highest softness and maintaining the appropriate three-dimensional (3D) structure showed the optimal immunoassay performance, indicating an increasing softness was a critical factor for effective hapten.
