Background: The association between the platelet-derived growth factor D (PDGFD) gene and atherosclerosis has been widely proven, whereas the relationship between the PDGFD gene and ischaemic stroke remains unconfirmed.

Aim: A case-control study was performed to further evaluate the association of the C → G mutation of rs7950273 in the PDGFD gene with ischaemic stroke (IS) in a Chinese Han population.

Subjects And Methods: This study recruited 3033 cases and 2807 controls from general hospitals in the southern, central and northern areas of China.

Background: Previous studies have shown that the levels of 15-lipoxygenase 1 (15-LOX-1) and 15-LOX-2 as well as their metabolites 13-S-hydroxyoctadecadienoic acid (13(S)-HODE) and 15(S)-hydroxyeicosatetraenoic acid (15(S)-HETE) are significantly reduced in smokers with non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC). Furthermore, animal model experiments have indicated that the reduction of these molecules occurs before the establishment of cigarette smoking carcinogen-induced lung tumors, and this suggests roles in lung tumorigenesis. However, the functions of these molecules remain unknown in NSCLC.

[Study on correlation between HLA-A, B, DR alleles and Duchenne muscular dystrophy].

Background And Purpose: Theoretical study had shown that compared with a single pulse, a duplicate pulse could improve the efficiency of lithotripsy. We conducted a series of studies to validate this idea.
