Occupational allergic contact dermatitis from methyl aminolevulinate.

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is used to treat certain types of nonmelanoma skin cancer. Metvix cream applied topically in PDT is composed of the active substance methyl aminolevulinate and 14 excipients composing the vehicle. One case of occupational allergic contact dermatitis from methyl aminolevulinate is reported.

Multicentre study of liver metastases from colorectal cancer in pathological livers.

Objectives: Resection of colorectal cancer (CRC) liver metastases (LM) in pathological liver (PL) patients (with cirrhosis or hepatopathy) is extremely rare. The aim of this study was to perform a multicentre, retrospective analysis of epidemiology, surgical techniques and outcomes in patients with PL who underwent hepatic resection for CRC-LM.

Methods: A retrospective, multicentre questionnaire was distributed to 15 hepatopancreatobiliary surgical units.

PD-1 molecule promotes anergy and IL-7 receptor (CD127) induces an anti-apoptotic effect on T cells. Correlation between PD-1/CD127 phenotype and hepatitis C virus (HCV)-specific CD8(+) cell reactivity in resolved infection (RI) after treatment and persistent HCV-infection (PI) was analysed. Directly ex vivo, PD-1 and CD127 expression on HCV-specific CD8(+) cells displayed a positive and negative correlation, respectively with viraemia.
