Background: Cognitive impairment constitutes a prevailing issue in the schizophrenia spectrum, severely impacting patients' functional outcomes. A global cognitive score, sensitive to the stages of the spectrum, would benefit the exploration of potential factors involved in the cognitive decline.
Methods: First, we performed principal component analysis on cognitive scores from 768 individuals across the schizophrenia spectrum, including first-degree relatives of patients, individuals at ultra-high risk, who had a first-episode psychosis, and chronic schizophrenia patients, alongside 124 healthy controls.

Background: Psychiatric disorders often emerge during adolescence or young adulthood, leading to significant disability among youth. The transition from Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) to Adult Mental Health Services (AMHS) is critical for individuals experiencing emerging psychopathology, with delayed access to care negatively impacting long-term outcomes. Accessing mental health services for adolescents and young adults is often complex and delayed due to challenges in service visibility, accessibility and appropriateness.

Tracheostomy cannula care is of paramount importance in the daily management of tracheotomized patients. While some complications are commonplace, specific events can occur, often according to type of cannula. We herein report the case of a 71-year-old patient; following a lengthy stay in the intensive care unit, she had received a Safe T-Tube cannula designed to provide support in a stenotic trachea.

Background: Group A Streptococcus is responsible for severe and potentially lethal invasive conditions requiring intensive care unit (ICU) admission, such as streptococcal toxic shock-like syndrome (STSS). A rebound of invasive group A streptococcal (iGAS) infection after COVID-19-associated barrier measures has been observed in children. Several intensivists of French adult ICUs have reported similar bedside impressions without objective data.

Background: Children with sickle cell disease (SCD) are at a high risk of invasive bacterial infections (IBI). Universal penicillin prophylaxis and vaccination, especially against Streptococcus pneumoniae, have deeply changed its epidemiology. Analysis of IBI in children with SCD in a post-13-valent pneumococcal vaccine era is limited.

Purpose: Baseline circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA) is a potential prognostic marker in metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) patients. However, few studies have compared ctDNA with the usual prognostic factors, and no ctDNA cut-off has been proposed for daily use in clinical practice.
Patients And Methods: Chemotherapy-naive patients with mCRC were prospectively included.

Introduction: Approximately 20% of children born with severe to profound hearing loss (HL) have an associated disorder that poses a neurodevelopmental risk [1]. The objective of this study is to identify the criteria and profiles of deaf infants at risk of neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD) to provide early intervention.
Methods: Twenty-two infants aged three to ten months with bilateral congenital deafness were included.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to compare the diagnostic performance of the rabbit visual pattern versus the one endorsed by the EANM/SNMMI for the diagnosis of parkinsonian syndromes in PET/MRI.
Patients And Methods: The 18F-DOPA PET images of 129 consecutive patients (65 Park+ and 64 controls) with 1 year of clinical follow-up were reviewed independently by 5 experienced readers on the same imaging workstation, blinded to the final clinical diagnosis. Two visual methods were assessed independently, with several days to months of interval: the criteria endorsed by EANM/SNMMI and the "rabbit" shape of the striate assessed on 3D MIP images.

Importance: Acute chest syndrome (ACS) is one of the leading acute severe complications of sickle-cell disease (SCD). Although Streptococcus pneumoniae (S pneumoniae) is highly prevalent in children with SCD, its precise role in ACS is unclear. The efficacy of 13-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV13) implementation on ACS is still unknown.

Background: While randomized clinical trials have shown the benefit of thrombolysis and endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS), we aimed to describe in a real-life study the differences between older (>80 years old) and younger patients treated for AIS.
Methods: Thousand patients treated with thrombolysis and/or EVT were consecutively included in a prospective monocentric database (admitted from December 2015 to May 2019 in our comprehensive stroke center). Demographic data with detailed history, baseline physical examinations and treatments, laboratory and imaging data, prestroke functional status, and outcome 3 months after stroke were analyzed.

Introduction: Aspergillusfumigatus can cause a systemic infection called invasive aspergillosis causing pulmonary and extra-pulmonary damage. Aspergillus endocarditis (AE) is a relatively rare disease but can be life-threatening.
Case Reports: We report here on five cases of endocarditis due to invasive aspergillosis: a 58-year-old man receiving immunosuppressive medication following a kidney graft, a 58-year-old man undergoing chemotherapy for chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, a 55-year-old man receiving corticosteroids for IgA vasculitis, a 52-year-old HIV-infected woman under no specific treatment and a 17-year-old boy under immunosuppressive therapy for auto-immune chronic neutropenia.
