Background: Cognitive impairment constitutes a prevailing issue in the schizophrenia spectrum, severely impacting patients' functional outcomes. A global cognitive score, sensitive to the stages of the spectrum, would benefit the exploration of potential factors involved in the cognitive decline.

Methods: First, we performed principal component analysis on cognitive scores from 768 individuals across the schizophrenia spectrum, including first-degree relatives of patients, individuals at ultra-high risk, who had a first-episode psychosis, and chronic schizophrenia patients, alongside 124 healthy controls.

An Endoscopic Procedure for the Simultaneous Treatment of both Otosclerosis and Malleus Fixation.

To report the case of the simultaneous treatment of otosclerosis and malleus fixation through an entirely endoscopic transcanal approach. A targeted transcanalar epitympanotomy with annular bony ridge conservation was planned preoperatively, with 3D CT localization of the fixed part of the malleus head. The upper part of the malleus head and the superior ossified ligament of the malleus were drilled.

Reperfusion therapy for acute ischemic stroke in older people: An observational real-life study.

Background: While randomized clinical trials have shown the benefit of thrombolysis and endovascular thrombectomy (EVT) in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS), we aimed to describe in a real-life study the differences between older (>80 years old) and younger patients treated for AIS.

Methods: Thousand patients treated with thrombolysis and/or EVT were consecutively included in a prospective monocentric database (admitted from December 2015 to May 2019 in our comprehensive stroke center). Demographic data with detailed history, baseline physical examinations and treatments, laboratory and imaging data, prestroke functional status, and outcome 3 months after stroke were analyzed.

Case Reports: We report here on five cases of endocarditis due to invasive aspergillosis: a 58-year-old man receiving immunosuppressive medication following a kidney graft, a 58-year-old man undergoing chemotherapy for chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, a 55-year-old man receiving corticosteroids for IgA vasculitis, a 52-year-old HIV-infected woman under no specific treatment and a 17-year-old boy under immunosuppressive therapy for auto-immune chronic neutropenia.
