Species of the Halomonas genus are gram-negative, aerobic, moderately halophilic bacteria that synthesize polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) and other high-value products that have a wide range of potential uses in the food, feed, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and chemical sectors. Genome sequencing studies allow for the description and comparison of genetic traits with other strains and species, allowing for the exploration of the organism's potential, necessary to further biotechnology applications. Here, the genome of Halomonas elongata strain 153B was sequenced, its features compared to 5 other strains and 7 species, and a description of features for adaptations to hypersaline environments and bioproducts synthesis was done.

Development of piperine nanoemulsions: an alternative topical application for hypopigmentation.

This study, it was aimed to develop a topical piperine nanoemulsion (P-NE) using an ultrasonic emulsification process to find an alternative treatment option for some hypopigmentation disorders such as vitiligo. Results showed that 150 mg piperine loaded NE with 1:2 oil phase to ratio and manufactured with 20 min ultrasonication duration with the pre-emulsification step was the most durable formulation with a mean globule size of 216.00 ± 2.

The main objective of the present study is to investigate the molecular structure and DNA binding interaction of the tripeptide, which has anticancer, antioxidant and analgesic properties, using various (MD, QM, molecular docking), (UV, FT-IR, FTIR-ATR, Raman, gel electrophoresis) and (MCF-7 and HeLa cancer cell lines and BEAS-2B cell line) methods. The optimized geometry, vibrational wavenumbers, molecular electrostatic potential (MEP), natural bond orbital (NBO) and HOMO-LUMO (highest occupied molecular orbital- lowest unoccupied molecular orbital) calculations were carried out with Density Functional Theory (DFT) using B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) basis set to indicate conformational, vibrational and intramolecular charge transfer characteristics. Recent studies on Collagen Type X Alpha 1 Chain (COL10A1) show that the COL10A1 gene may be a diagnostic and/or prognostic biomarker for different cancer types. Moreover, its relationship with the Sex determining Region Y (SRY)-related High-Mobility Group (HMG) box (SOX9) gene which is also a transcription factor, was discovered recently, and co-expression of these two genes are associated with the development of GC.

The surface characterization of CoPc-IL-PGEs was investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and the electrochemical behavior of electrodes were studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and cyclic voltammetry (CV) techniques. The voltammetric detection of hybridization was investigated by evaluating the guanine oxidation signal, measured by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) technique.
