Two-dimensional layered materials (2DLMs) have received increasing attention for their potential in bioelectronics due to their favorable electrical, optical, and mechanical properties. The transformation of the planar structures of 2DLMs into complex 3D shapes is a key strategic step toward creating conformal biointerfaces with cells and applying them as scaffolds to simultaneously guide their growth to tissues and enable integrated bioelectronic monitoring. Using a strain-engineered self-foldable bilayer, we demonstrate the facile formation of predetermined 3D microstructures of 2DLMs with controllable curvatures, called microrolls.

In this paper, a series of novel quinazoline-4(3)-one-2-carbothioamide derivatives (8a-p) were designed and synthesized the Wilgerodt-Kindler reaction between 2-methylquinazoline-4-one 10 and amines using S/DMSO as the oxidizing system. Their characteristics were confirmed by IR, NMR, HRMS spectra, and their melting point. These novel derivatives (8a-p) were evaluated for their anti-inflammatory activity by inhibiting NO production in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-activated RAW 264.

Control of the formation of liquid crystalline 3̄ gyroid phases and their nanostructures is critical to advance materials chemistry based on the structural feature of three-dimensional helical networks. Here, we present that introducing methyl side-group(s) and slight non-symmetry into aryloyl-hydrazine-based molecules is unexpectedly crucial for their formation and can be a new design strategy through tuning intermolecular interactions: the two chemical modifications in the core portion of the chain-core-chain type molecules effectively lower and extend the 3̄ phase temperature ranges with the increased twist angle between neighboring molecules along the network. The detailed analyses of the aggregation structure revealed the change in the core assembly mode from the double-layered core mode of the mother molecule (without methyl groups) to the single-layered core mode.

The model introduces a binding site-focused graph construction approach to extract binding information, enabling more balanced and efficient modeling of drug-target interactions.

Dissolved Rare Earth Elements (REEs) concentrations have been widely used in geochemical studies due to their systematic changes in the environment, acting as tracers in various natural processes. In addition to the usefulness of naturally controlled chemical REE fractionations used in the ocean, the extraction and measurement procedures of seawater REEs using chelating resin and ICP-MS may also be subject to method-derived analytical fractionations, leading to potential misinterpretations.
