Objectives: To investigate the mechanism of comorbidity between non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and atherosclerosis (AS) based on metabolomics and network pharmacology.
Methods: Six ApoE mice were fed with a high-fat diet for 16 weeks as a comorbid model of NAFLD and AS (model group). Normal diet was given to 6 wildtype C57BL/6J mice (control group).
Objective: To observe the effects of electroacupuncture (EA) penetration needling on Toll-like receptors 4/myeloid differentiation factor 88/nuclear factor-kappa B (TLR4/MyD88/NF-κB) signaling pathway in rat synovium and the serum-related inflammatory factors, so as to explore the mechanism of EA penetration needling on synovial inflammation in rats with knee osteoarthritis (KOA).
Methods: SD male rats were randomly divided into sham-operation group, model group, EA+penetration needling group, and conventional EA group, with 16 rats in each group. The rats model was prepared by anterior cruciate ligment transection and these rats were forced to exercise for 8 weeks after operation.

Objective: To study the expressions of microRNA-221 (miR-221) and the protein of phosphatase and tension protein homologue (PTEN) in the proximal and distal stumps after sciatic nerve injury in rats and their correlation with the repair of peripheral nerve injury, so as to provide a new target for clinical diagnosis of peripheral nerve injury.
Methods: Ninety-six male Sprague-Dawley rats of SPF grade were selected to establish sciatic nerve injury models. Twenty-four rats were sacrificed at 0 (immediately after operation), 1, 4, and 7 days after operation.

Hyperplasia of mammary glands (HMG) is also termed mammary dysplasia. In China, the number of patients suffering from breast hyperplasia is increasing annually. MicroRNAs (miRNAs; length, 19-24 nucleotides), a group of small endogenous non-coding RNAs, post-transcriptionally regulate gene expression via RNA interference and gene silencing pathways.
