To commercialize perovskite solar cells and advance beyond lab-scale comparisons, understanding large-area film formation using slot-die coating is essential to improve film homogeneity. Adding high-boiling-point solvents like N-methyl-2-Pyrrolidone (NMP) to the perovskite ink extends film's processing window, but the effects of varying NMP levels on gas-quenched slot-die coatings remain unclear. This article examines how different NMP ratios impact film quality, showing that a moderate amount of NMP as a co-solvent reduces defects, as observed through photoluminescence, hyperspectral absorbance, and back-illuminated optical absorptions.

Resting state networks (RSNs) of the brain are characterized as correlated spontaneous time-varying fluctuations in the absence of goal-directed tasks. These networks can be local or large-scale spanning the brain. The study of the spatiotemporal properties of such networks has helped understand the brain's fundamental functional organization under healthy and diseased states.

To address the issue of low-elevation target height measurement in the Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) radar, this paper proposes a height measurement method for meter-wave MIMO radar based on transmitted signals and receive filter design, integrating beamforming technology and cognitive processing methods. According to the characteristics of beamforming technology forming nulls at interference locations, we assume that the direct wave and reflected wave act as interference signals and hypothesize a direction for a hypothetical target. Then, the data received are processed to obtain the height of low-elevation-angle targets using a cognitive approach that jointly optimizes the transmitted signal and receive filter.

Hepatocyte carcinoma (HCC) is a globally prevalent neoplasm with profound effects on morbidity and mortality rates. This review summarizes the complex interactions between coagulation abnormalities and the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying HCC. Essential coagulation biomarkers, such as P-selectin, thrombomodulin, d-dimer, prothrombin, and von Willebrand factor, are reviewed for their diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic significance.

Objectives: Neonatal sepsis is one of the causes of neonatal mortality and bacterial resistance to antibiotics is one of the challenges facing NICU. The aim of this study was to provide a basis for empirical antibiotic selection by comprehensively searching Chinese and non-Chinese databases for studies related to neonatal sepsis pathogenesis conducted in China and synthesizing all the results of the studies conducted in hospitals in China during the period under study METHODS: In this study, we conducted extensive searches of Pubmed, Web of Science, Cochrane, China Biology Medicine disc (SinoMed), China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) and Wanfang Data. We screened studies published from 2014 to 2023 that were conducted in hospitals in mainland China and involved bacterial blood cultures and susceptibility tests in neonates with neonatal sepsis and extracted the data, which were summarized using Stata 18.

Rice, wheat, and maize grains are staple foods, widely consumed for their mineral and nutritional values. However, they can accumulate toxic elements from contaminated soils, posing health risks. This study investigates the bioaccumulation patterns of 52 elements (including nutrients, heavy metals, and rare earth elements) in various parts (grain, husk, straw, and root) of cereals grown in a heavily polluted region.

The Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) is a widely used self-report measure of subjective well-being, but studies of its measurement invariance across a large number of nations remain limited. Here, we utilised the Body Image in Nature (BINS) dataset-with data collected between 2020 and 2022 -to assess measurement invariance of the SWLS across 65 nations, 40 languages, gender identities, and age groups (N = 56,968). All participants completed the SWLS under largely uniform conditions.

This study aims to examine the landscape transformation and temperature dynamics using multiple spectral indices. The processes of temporal fluctuations in the land surface temperature is strongly related to the morphological features of the area in which the temperature is determined, and the given factors significantly affect the thermal properties of the surface. This research is being conducted in Pakistan to identify the vegetation cover, water bodies, impervious surfaces, and land surface temperature using decadal remote sensing data with four intervals during 1993-2023 in the Mardan division, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The transmission of antibiotic resistance (AR) from farm animals to healthy human communities, beyond the food chain, is often facilitated by biological vectors, notably houseflies (Musca domestica). This study aimed to evaluate the role of M. domestica collected from commercial broiler chicken farms as a carrier of multidrug-resistant (MDR), extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL)-producing Escherichia coli.

Cereal grains are frequently attacked by microorganisms and insects during storage and processing, which negatively affects their quality, safety, and market value. Therefore, protecting stored grains from microbial contamination is crucial for food industries, farmers, public health associations, and environmental agencies. Due to the negative impact of synthetic gray chemicals, antimicrobial plant-based essential oils (EOs) can serve as alternative, safer, environmentally friendly preservatives that can prolong the shelf life of cereals.

The incidence of metabolic diseases-hypertension, diabetes, obesity, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), and atherosclerosis-is increasing annually, imposing a significant burden on both human health and the social economy. The occurrence and development of these diseases are closely related to the disruption of ion homeostasis, which is crucial for maintaining cellular functions and metabolic equilibrium. However, the specific mechanism of ion homeostasis in metabolic diseases is still unclear.

A pressing need for enhancing lithium-ion battery (LIB) performance exists, particularly in ensuring reliable operation under extreme cold conditions. All-solid-state batteries (ASSBs) offer a promising solution to the challenges posed by conventional LIBs with liquid electrolytes in low-temperature environments. In this study, leveraging the benefits of amorphous solid-state electrolytes (SSEs) xLiN-TaCl (1 ≤ 3x ≤ 2), we develop ASSBs capable of functioning effectively under extreme cold conditions.

Manganese (Mn) is an essential element for plant growth but can be toxic at high levels. Pecan (Carya illinoensis), an important nut-producing species, has been observed to exhibit tolerance to high Mn levels. In this study, pecan seedlings were exposed to a nutrient solution containing either 2 μM (control) or 1000 μM (excess) MnSO to investigate the physiological mechanisms.
