Harnessing PROTACs to combat H5N1 influenza: A new frontier in viral destruction.

H5N1, a highly pathogenic avian influenza virus, poses an ongoing and significant threat to global public health, primarily due to its potential to cause severe respiratory illness and high mortality rates in humans. Despite extensive efforts in vaccination and antiviral therapy, H5N1 continues to exhibit high mutation rates, resulting in recurrent outbreaks and the emergence of drug-resistant strains. Traditional antiviral therapies, such as neuraminidase inhibitors and M2 ion channel blockers, have demonstrated limited efficacy, necessitating the exploration of innovative therapeutic strategies.

Suspected large gall bladder mucocele extending from right hypochondrium up to right iliac region turned out to be gall bladder perforation in a patient with schizophrenia: A rare case report and literature review.

Key Clinical Message: This is a challenging case where the surgeon has initially thought it is a gallbladder (GB) mucocele. The surprise finding of a mucocele during an emergency laparotomy highlights the deceptive nature of certain clinical manifestations within the hepatobiliary domain. The intraoperative discovery of a 1×1 cm GB hole on the right lateral wall of the GB fundus revealed an unexpected and significant deviation from the hypothesized pathogenesis.

Patients with Voice problems are frequently encountered in clinics. There is no tool available in Punjabi language for evaluation of impact of voice disorder on patient's life. The aim of this study was to adapt Voice Handicap Index in Punjabi language and to obtain validity, reliability and consistency of the developed tool.

Safety monitoring of precautionary third dose of COVID-19 vaccines in a district in Northern India.

Background: The World Health Organization (WHO) declared Coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) a pandemic on March 11, 2020. On 16 January 2021, India began its vaccination programme using two COVID-19 vaccines (Covishield and Covaxin). Large Multicentric Synchronous Extra-Abdominal Fibromatosis of the Leg and Foot: A Case Report.

Extra-abdominal fibromatosis is an uncommon, benign locally aggressive fibrous soft-tissue tumor that usually occurs in the shoulders, chest wall, back, thigh, and head and neck affecting the young adult population. It is commonly located in the subcutaneous tissue and may infiltrate the adjacent skeletal muscles. Determinants and Characteristics of the Violent Incidents in a Tertiary-Level Mental Health Care Center.

 The Mental Health Care Act of India, 2017 has for the first time focused on violence management interventions, especially restraint and seclusion in psychiatric settings, and recommended important guidelines in this aspect.  This situation has created a strong need to review the prevalence of violence in inpatient settings, associated clinical and social correlates keeping a preventive model in context. Chemoprevention of bilirubin encephalopathy with a nanoceutical agent.
