Introduction: Pregnant females are considered as a high-risk group for the prevention and control of various communicable diseases. Therefore, this research was undertaken to study the clinic-epidemiological profile and biochemical parameters of COVID-19-positive pregnant females in a tertiary care hospital.

Methods: This hospital-based retrospective study was done on COVID-19-positive pregnant females admitted during April 2020-March 2021.

Introduction: Various studies suggest a significant impact of gonadal hormones on many neuronal functions, including auditory processing. Although a few researchers have independently investigated the brainstem auditory evoked potential (BAEP) patterns during various phases of menstrual cycle and also during menopause, there is an acute paucity of comparative data between their BAEP patterns. This study was conducted to compare the BAEP patterns between normally menstruating females and menopausal females from North India.

Background: As generalized pruritus can be a symptom of a systemic disease, iron deficiency may be the underlying internal cause of its symptoms. Because data on the relationship between iron deficiency and generalized chronic pruritus are limited, more research is needed to ensure proper diagnosis and management.

Aims: To evaluate the prevalence of iron deficiency in patients with generalized chronic pruritus in the southeast region of Rajasthan and to assess the correlation of serum ferritin with iron deficiency variables.

Is there evidence to recommend transcatheter arterial embolisation in adhesive capsulitis: A review of literature.

Background: Hypervascularity of the rotator interval with increased expression of the vascular endothelial growth factor may be the causative factor of conventionally managed adhesive capsulitis. Hence, transcatheter arterial embolisation(TAE) has emerged as an alternative treatment option to occlude the target neovessels by infusing an embolic agent. The present study reviews the literature regarding the efficacy of the TAE for adhesive capsulitis.

Thorax trauma severity score in patient with chest trauma: study at tertiary-level hospital.

Background: Thoracic trauma accounts for 20-25% of all trauma-related mortalities and the majority of these deaths occur within few hours of hospitalization. Therefore, prompt diagnosis, assessment of the severity of chest trauma, and immediate treatment are essential to prevent morbidity and mortality. The thorax trauma severity score (TTSS) can be calculated in the emergency room with ease.

Developing a competency-based undergraduate logbook for pediatrics: Process and lessons.

With the first MBBS batch admitted under the new National Medical Commission (NMC) undergraduate curriculum entering pediatric clinical posting soon, creation of a Pediatric logbook in consonance with this competency-based curriculum was felt to be a need of the hour. No such document is yet available in the public domain. The logbook template, created after enormous brainstorming amongst authors, includes 176 Shows (S), Shows How (SH) and Perform (P) level competencies.
