Carcinogenic colorectal hemorrhage can cause severe blood loss and longitudinal ulcer, which ultimately become fatal if left untreated. The present study was aimed to formulate targeted release gemcitabine (GC)-containing magnetic microspheres (MM) of halloysite nanotubes (MHMG), chitosan (MCMG), and their combination (MHCMG). The preparation of MM by magnetism was confirmed by vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM), the molecular arrangement of NH, alumina, and silica groups was studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), the hollow spherical nature of the proposed MM was observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), functional groups were characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and thermochemical modification was studied by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).

Hybrid lead halide perovskites have been considered as promising candidates for a large variety of optoelectronic applications. By exploring novel combinations of lead-free double perovskite halides, it is possible to find a suitable replacement for poisonous lead halide perovskites, enhancing electronic and optical response for their application as optically-influenced resistive switching random access memory (RRAM). In this work, the structural, mechanical, elastic, electronic, optical, and thermoelectric characteristics of lead-free double halide perovskites were investigated by Vienna initio simulation package (VASP) to explore their role in RRAM.

This article fundamentally aims at the comparative study of thermo-mechanical characters of Gr/Ag and Gr/Cu nano-composites. For demonstration purposes, three dimensions that is, (1 0 0), (1 1 0) and (1 1 1), of the metals attached with single layer Graphene sheet are considered. The study is facilitated by the adaptation of the molecular dynamic simulations of the soft LAMMPS to mimic the broad range of experimental environment.

Clotting time of lower gastro intestinal bleeding (LGIB) can be reduced by using simple, cost-effective, and naturally occurring halloysite nanotubes (HNTs). The present study aimed to decrease the clotting time by the application of chitosan (CHT) and its microcomposites (MCs) prepared by suspension emulsification technique with HNTs (CHT/HNTs MC). Physicochemical properties, X-Ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and percentage release of ciprofloxacin from CHT/HNTs MCs was evaluated.

Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) was used for a tri-layer structure (HfO/AlO/HfO) at low temperature over an Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) transparent electrode. First, the microstructure of the fabricated TaN/HfO/AlO/HfO/ITO RRAM device was examined by the cross-sectional High-Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HRTEM). Then, Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS) was performed to probe compositional mapping.

Aging is a collection of changes that contribute to decline in maximum function and ultimately death of an organism. This process is controlled and initiated by several mechanisms including telomere shortening, oxidative stress, AMP-activated protein kinase and sirt-1. Several therapies have been reported to relieve the process of aging.

In the present work, nonwoven cotton fabric was modified for antibacterial applications using low-cost and eco-friendly precursors. The treatment of fabric with alkali leads to the formation of active sites for surface modification, followed by dip coating with silver nanoparticles and chitosan. The surface was chlorinated in the next step to transform amide (N-H) groups in chitosan into N-halamine (N-Cl).

The development and optimization of controlled release lipospheres (LS) from safe biocompatible behenic acid (BA) was performed for not only enhancing patient's compliance against highly prevailed chronic diabetes but also to vanquish the insufficiencies of traditional methods of drug delivery. The Box-Bhenken design (BBD) was utilized to statistically investigate the impact of formulation variables on percentage yield ( ), entrapment efficiency ( ), and SG-release ( ) from saxagliptin- (SG-) loaded LS, and the chosen optimized LS were subjected to a comparative pharmacokinetic analysis against commercially available SG brand. The compatibility analysis performed by DSC and FTIR established a complete lack of interaction of formulation components with SG, while p-XRD suggested a mild transformation of crystalline drug to its amorphous form during encapsulation process.
