Context: Structured Feedback is a learning and assessment tool designed to provide feedback to students and educators to adjust learning and teaching during the training. Lack of provision of structured feedback to postgraduate (PG) medical students prompted us to plan a study to introduce a structured feedback module into the existing monthly assessment schedules in the Department of Transfusion Medicine.
Aim: This study aims to introduce a structured feedback module and evaluate its efficacy after incorporation into the existing monthly assessment schedules for the PG students in the Department of Transfusion Medicine.

Background and objective A non-union distal femur fracture is a challenging fracture to treat. Common treatment modalities for non-union distal femur fractures include dual plating, intramedullary nails, ilizarov, and hybrid fixators. Despite the availability of a wide armamentarium of constructs, the clinical and functional outcome of these modalities is often complicated by significant morbidity, joint stiffness, and delayed union.

Introduction Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) has a beneficial effect on pain relief and wound healing. This study aims at a clinical evaluation of early wound healing and a biochemical evaluation of inflammatory mediators in gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) following LLLT with an open flap debridement (OFD) in periodontal therapy. Material and methods This randomized controlled trial included 40 chronic periodontitis patients with bilateral attachment loss, pocket depths of 5 mm affecting at least two quadrants, and radiographic evidence of horizontal bone loss.

Cases: Concomitant ipsilateral intracapsular and extracapsular fractures of the femoral neck, also termed "segmental fracture neck femur," are rare injuries, especially in physiologically young patients. We present 3 such cases that successfully underwent operative fixation with an extramedullary implant.
Conclusion: Good clinical outcomes may be obtained after osteosynthesis with extramedullary fixation devices in concomitant ipsilateral intracapsular and extracapsular fractures of the femoral neck in young patients (<60 years).

Background: In absence of a dedicated teaching curriculum for non-PG residents in Obstetrics and Gynecology department, a concise teaching learning method, One-Minute Preceptor (OMP) with feedback being its core component may be introduced to translate their theoretical knowledge into clinical practice.
Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study included four faculty members and 20 residents. Each resident was exposed to three OMP sessions pertaining to common gynecological case scenarios with a gap of at least two days in between the sessions with faculties acting as preceptor and as observer.

Purpose: To evaluate the role of muscle-relaxants as risk factors for the development of central serous chorioretinopathy (CSC) - the second most common retinopathy in our settings; despite multiple risk factors seen in our patients, 21% were initially labelled as idiopathic.
Materials And Methods: Retrospective case-control study at a tertiary hospital in the United Arab Emirates, where we reviewed the medical records of 273 patients with CSC examined between 2010 and 2019 for use of muscle-relaxants including tolperisone/eperisone, carisoprodol and gabapentin/pregabalin within a year of onset/recurrence of the disease. Intake of drugs with known association with CSC (including corticosteroids/sympathomimetics) was also recorded.
