Background And Aim: Myofascial pain dysfunction syndrome (MPDS) is one of the most important facial muscle disorders comprising signs and symptoms including pain during function, tenderness in the muscles of mastication and restricted jaw movement. The purpose of this study was to assess and compare the effectiveness of low-level laser therapy (LLLT) and combination therapy of LLLT and pharmacotherapy in the treatment of myofascial pain with or without other TMD (temporomandibular disorders).
Materials And Methods: Forty patients with MPDS were randomly divided into two groups.

Objective: The present study aimed to evaluate the phase transformation behavior and elemental analysis of thermomechanical-treated nickel-titanium (NiTi) rotary instruments, TruNatomy (Dentsply Sirona), HyFlex CM (coltene, Whaledent), and Neoendo Flex (Orikam healthcare India), using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry.
Materials And Methods: A total of 18 NiTi rotary instruments, TruNatomy, Hyflex CM, Neoendo Flex, taper. 04, size 25 (except TruNatomy, size 26) were selected and were divided into three groups ( = 6).

Plant-derived phytochemicals are crucial in fighting bacterial infections and in cancer therapy. This study investigates the phytochemical composition of the ethanolic extract obtained from () seeds and assesses its antimicrobial, anticancer, and antioxidant activities. GC-MS analysis found 30 phytochemicals in seeds, including 5 bioactive compounds that have been shown to have antioxidant, antimicrobial, and cytotoxicity properties, through in silico evaluation.

This study evaluates the influence of smoking cessation policies and COVID-19 on the prevalence of smoking among Korean adolescents from 2011 to 2020. Based on the Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey, trends in adolescent smoking behaviors were examined, including the impact of cigarette price increases, Pictorial Warning Labels (PWLs), and the onset of COVID-19. We used joinpoint regression analysis to discern annual changes in the prevalence of adolescent smokers.

Settings And Design: The study employed an in vitro design with a stainless steel die model featuring a 6 mm axial wall height, a 6-degree total occlusal convergence, and a radial shoulder finish line.
Materials And Methods: Thirty stone dies were created from silicone impressions of the metal die and poured using type-IV dental stone.

Objective: The present study aimed to evaluate the effect of heat-treated nickel titanium (NiTi) files TruNatomy and XP- Endo Shaper on the major apical foramen deformation and enlargement in curved root canals using area, circularity, and Feret's diameter ratio.
Methods: Sixty mesio-buccal roots of maxillary and mandibular molars with Vertucci type II root canal were selected. The teeth were decoronated using a carborundum disc.
