Across numerous pathologies and imaging techniques, deep learning (DL) models are progressively considered a valuable resource in the clinical setting.

Rare Turner syndrome and lupus coexistence with insights from DNA methylation patterns.

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE or lupus) is a complex autoimmune disease that can affect multiple organs. While the exact disease etiology remains incompletely understood, there is a suggested influence of X-chromosome dosage in the pathogenesis of lupus. Here, we report a rare case of a female patient diagnosed with mosaic Turner syndrome and subsequently presenting with juvenile-onset SLE.

Eighty-One Percent of Unrepaired Interportal Capsulotomies Showed Healed Capsules on Magnetic Resonance Imaging 5 Years After Primary Hip Arthroscopy.

Purpose: To evaluate whether unrepaired interportal capsulotomy presents with capsular defect on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) 5 years after primary hip arthroscopy and to determine its effect on functional results and findings of osteoarthritis on radiographs or MRI scans.

Methods: Patients with femoroacetabular impingement (without arthritis or dysplasia) were retrospectively reviewed after arthroscopic labral repair or debridement and femoroplasty through interportal capsulotomy without closure. Patients were assessed preoperatively and at a minimum of 5 years postoperatively using patient-reported outcomes (Hip Outcome Score-Activities of Daily Living scale, modified Harris Hip Score, and visual analog scale pain score), radiographic measures, and MRI scans.

This study aims to investigate the clinical course and potential drug interactions of breast cancer patients diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS). Ten patients diagnosed with MS and breast cancer, who were followed up and treated in the authors' centre between January 2000 and December 2020, were retrospectively scanned from the Hospital's electronic registry system and included in the study. The patients' age, gender, history of MS diagnosis, drugs used, date of breast cancer diagnosis, stage at diagnosis, pathological features, treatment information, surgery types, recurrence or metastasis history and regions, and side effects observed during anticancer treatment were recorded.

Mesenteric panniculitis is rare, usually idiopathic, caused by inflammation of the fatty tissue of the mesentery, especially in the small intestine. The relation between cancer and mesenteric panniculitis is unclear. In some studies, mesenteric pannicullitis precedes cancer diagnosis; on the other hand, some studies suggest no correlations.

Long-term comparison of horizontal rectus surgery with vertical tendon transposition and combined vertical tendon transposition and inferior oblique-weakening in V-pattern exotropia.

Purpose: To compare the efficacy of bilateral lateral rectus recession with vertical tendon transposition (LRVT) and LRVT combined with inferior oblique (IO) disinsertion for V-pattern exotropia.

Methods: The medical records of patients who had mild-to-moderate (+1 and +2) inferior oblique overaction (IOOA) and underwent half-tendon-width upward LRVT (transposition group), and LRVT with IO disinsertion (combined surgery group) for V-pattern exotropia and who had at least 3 years of postoperative follow-up were reviewed retrospectively.

Results: A total of 45 patients were included: 22 in the transposition group and 23 in the combined surgery group.

Purpose: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of ChatGPT-4, an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot, in providing accurate and comprehensible information to patients regarding otosclerosis surgery.
